Following our simple drafted pattern below, i will like us to see how we drafted a jacket pattern for an extra large sized client and how lovely this turned out.

The beauty of this jacket is the dart lines running along it length.

This is for a customer whose measurement is way bigger than who is modeling this jacket.

First a pattern has to be created according to the body contour using individual's measurements or a standard body measurement.

When the paper designs are accurate one can then proceed to place on fabric to cut.
Not many people like to make jackets or even coat, because during cutting or sewing, the pattern gives many pieces of fabrics that muct be carefully joined together according to the designated position on the body contour.

Darts are removed and the different necklines added, some with lapels others without it.

Pattern making.

A learning process of sharing ideas is always needed for making this, to avoid mistakes in pattern that can affect the jacket making process.
One has to be an expert or consult pattern books.

Cutting and sewing

Each single piece of pattern created is placed on fabrics and neatly cut out

Sewing and ironing

This two goes together because at every instance ironing is done to flatten seem and make the jacket align together.

Working on this can take an individual a single day to complete, but this was completed in 3 hours because we invited two more hands who helped out with ironing.

This is so lovely i want to make a replicate with a better fabric before the weekend.
