Adaptando el pabellón venezolano [Adapting the Venezuelan pavilion]

image.png

[This is a combined dish, a tasty adaptation of the Venezuelan Creole pavilion. its three main ingredients are: black caraotas (black beans), couscous and minced meat duly stewed.]

[This is an approach to couscous. It's the first time I've eaten it, we wanted to try it and vary the rice, a typical ingredient in the pavilion. There are several ways to prepare it, the packaging brings the directions. We chose the simplest.]

¿Sencillo, verdad?

○For each measure of couscous a measure of water (or broth) is taken. Add salt as if you were to make rice.

○The water is heated and added to the couscous, stirring with a paddle. Cover it is then left to rest until it absorbs all the liquid.

○Then the grains are decomposed to make it loose. You can shake the covered container properly for a few minutes. It's easy. Also remove with a palette or with your hands.

Simple, isn't it?
