Remove real people from the equation and the result is...

A few hours ago Cointelegraph published an article and they delve once again to what made witnesses and community members to choose the fork of the Steem blockchain rather than a submission to a powerful new boss.

Isn't it obvious that bad actors that only care about leadership and decentralization cant walk hand in hand?

Having lots of money can make one's life a lot easier. Regardless if it's FIAT money or digital currencies.

People often admire rich individuals just because they are...rich. Others even envy them.

We have probably said it a million times so far, but it's true...100%

You can buy almost anything if you are wealthy enough, but you can't buy real people...let alone groups of people, or a whole community. Especially when they are committed to an idea.

The most valuable asset in every project is people.

Remove them from the equation and the result is....

Have a look at the screenshots above...

Not long ago, just 3 maybe 4 weeks back, Steem was the 4th blockchain with the higher activity...

Less than a week after HIVE officially launched and Steem is already 11 spots lower.

And my guess is that it's only because some people keep posting on both chains till they power down their Steem stake completely. I am expecting that it will dive even more the following weeks...

It saddens me, really...but it is what it is.

Do you still have doubts that what makes a project a big success or a big failure is people?

Thoughts?

I think you are right but take into account that autovotes stopped for a while in both chains.
Hive on mate!

I believe at this point, it is better to see the future with good faith. Not the whole community will go to Hive.
