Hello Everyone 💕 💞,

How are you coping with this huge pandemic outbreak?

Sometimes ago, five months to be precise I went to another region very different entirely from this where I am now, the Western part of Nigeria ( Osun state Nigeria) where I was based before and my mom still reside there as well. I went around to see how the new development has caught them good, and I saw this CocoYam garden where my mom once in a while farm when she is less busy. I went there and fetch just two of the CocoYam roots and planted it here in Ilorin Kwara State Nigeria.

I know there will be much differences in the growth and development of the cocoyam here because they hardly plant crops like this but I had to experiment it and see how it will go and survive.

I planted the two roots, and I made a hip of soil round it to secure it as usual. It did more of dying trial because sometimes it went Dead and came up again due to the harsh weather here and it still survived.

I harvested it today and I saw a great improvement in it , I was bored at home when I came back from the Car engineer, so I went to the garden to harvest the Cocoyam tubers for Consumption.

Some Tools I Used.

I used Cutlass, hoe and bowl of water.

I had to poured more water on it ( CocoYam plant to made it looks more softer inside the ground) then the next step followed.

I had to use my bare hands to dig a bit from the surrounding soil area and use my hands to pull the CocoYam tuber out inside the soil to avoid damages.

I finally got some real CocoYam tubers after five months of planting and experimenting the soil texture, the coarseness of the soil.
