Some objects remain in families for many years, and that is passed on from generation to generation, to preserve that emotional value with which they come from their origin.

The human being by nature develops an affective attachment to those things that bring him beautiful feelings that fill his heart and soul with love and smiles.

In my family, this has been no exception. My mother inherited from my grandmother (her mother) a very beautiful ceramic dish, which has been with us for many years.

En mi familia, no ha sido la excepción. Mi madre heredó de mi abuela (su mamá) un platón (plato grande) de cerámica muy hermoso, que tiene muchos años con nosotros.}

This plate was from my great-grandmother's (my grandmother's Josephine's mother) mother.

I remember those times when I was a child, I was only about nine years old and my grandmother Josefina used the ceramic plate to place the ingredients when she prepared the hallacas (Venezuelan Christmas dish par excellence), she had a delicious one that I don't even tell you about.

She took care of that dish like the apple of her eye, and when it passed into my mother's custody, it was the same song: "be careful if you break the dish, it's over a hundred years old", and that's how it is, that dish is that old because my grandmother Josefina is ninety-seven years old, my mother Luisa Del Valle is seventy and I, who am the next heiress, already appointed by my mother hahaha to guard my great-grandmother's dish, am fifty-three, almost fifty-four in some months.

_{Este platón era de mi bisabuela materna (la madre de mi abuela Josefina). Recuerdo aquellos tiempos en que yo era niña, tan solo tenía como nueve años y mi abuela Josefina utilizaba el platón de cerámica para colocar los ingredientes cuando preparaba las hallacas (plato navideño venezolano por excelencia), le quedaban de un delicioso que ni les cuento.
El platón lo cuidaba como la niña de sus ojos, y cuando pasó a la custodia de mi madre, era el mismo cantar: "cuidadito si rompen el platón, que tiene más de cien años", y es así, ese platón tiene esa edad, pues mi abuela Josefina tiene noventa y siete años, mi madre Luisa Del Valle tiene setenta y yo, que soy la próxima heredera, ya nombrada por mi madre jajajaja para custodiar el platón de mi bisabuela, tengo cincuenta y tres, casi cincuenta y cuatro en algunos meses.}

I intend to pass it on to my son Gabriel and to instill in him the same love and care for this object which, more than a material possession, bears the mark of a life story. I close my eyes and remember perfectly the corridor of my grandmother's house in those years, the table set with all the ingredients to make the hallacas as a family. We were only allowed to help with the mooring which, by the way, we did very badly hahaha.

It was the event of the last month of the year, my grandmother's hallacas were the most delicious. Everyone around the table and there, as the main protagonist, was the platter, my great-grandmother's dish, feelings and emotions that gladdened the heart and drew a smile on my face.

_{Pienso heredarlo a mi hijo Gabriel e inculcarle el mismo amor y cuidado para este objeto que, más que una pertenencia material, lleva impresa la marca de una historia de vida. Cierro los ojos y recuerdo perfectamente el corredor de la casa de mi abuela en aquellos años, la mesa dispuesta con todos los ingredientes para hacer las hallacas en familia. A nosotros no nos permitían sino ayudar en el amarre que por cierto, lo hacíamos muy mal jajajaja.
Era el suceso del mes final del año, las hallacas de mi abuela, eran las más deliciosas. Todos alrededor de la mesa y alli, como protagonista central, estaba el platón, el platón de mi bisabuela, sentimientos y emociones que alegran el corazón y dibujan en mi rostro una sonrisa.}
