Visit To The Local Vegetable Market - For Buy Kitchen Requirements...
Hello Wonderful Gems Community,
This morning I had the opportunity to go to a grocery store. That's to buy vegetables. We are in the habit of adding vegetables to most of our daily diet. So today I think to share some vegetable what I bought from the market.
Bitter gourd contains vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, zinc and potassium. In addition, it has the advantage of being very low in calories. Bitter gourd is a vegetable that is tolerant to any climate in Sri Lanka, especially as a tongue remedy for diabetes. It can also be harvested throughout the year and its price can be kept in balance.
This is also a nutritious vegetable. Dark dark green elongated spikes. The first harvest can be obtained in 60 days. Spikelets green, up to 30 cm long.
It's cauliflower. Very tasty and my one of favorite vegetable I prefer to eat with white rice. Cauliflower can be grown in all agro-climatic zones by identifying the specific variety. But at present it is mostly cultivated in the upcountry wet zone. Soil with good drainage is required. High yields can be obtained in silty soils.
A large number of sweet potatoes have been identified and different sweet potato varieties can be found, such as yellow, crimson, and orange. Also, the antioxidants in sweet potatoes can protect you from various diseases.
This is a snake guard. Snake guard can be prepared raw as a curry as well as a salad. This vegetable has one fold when cooked and another fold when eaten raw. The fibrous parts of the snake guard make it easier to digest. It also cools the inside of the body.
Lot of people know about this vegetable. It's capsicum. Also capsicum is very spicy vegetable. The greenish-yellow spikes have a shiny surface. The shape of the spikes is conical. In a good plant, the pods are about 15-20 cm long and the spikes grow on the top of the plant.
Actually bell peppers has awesome looks. Green, red and yellow color combination gave me nice feeling. But I don't know how about taste there because I never ate yet.
Sri Lankan people called this vegetable to Thumba. Although it is widely used in food, it has medicinal properties. It has a little bit bitter taste. However my another favorite vegetable I bought today.
