By the order of Allahabad High Court, Uttar Pradesh 5 major covid affected cities are at lockdown. The HC ordered this lockdown yesterday (19th April) will be effective till 26th April until further notice.

The 5 major covid affected cities are Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur.

The Allahabad High Court (HC) has issued the order after hearing the public interest litigation (PIL)) regarding Covid. The Allahabad High Court (HC) will hold the next hearing of the case on April 26 at 11 am. The Division Bench of Justice Siddharth Verma and Justice Ajit Kumar have given the order.

According to Allahabad High Court (HC), all the private and public offices have been closed and only the most important services will be open.
