Yellow blotched map turtle (Graptemys flavimaculata)

Yellow blotched map turtle is a multi-colored designed turtle.It is one of the most beautiful map turtle in the world.It is called map turtle because it's carapace is designed with map-like markings.It is also familiar as saw-backed turtles because it having ridge along the back on shell.It is a very low populated turtle.It is only found in Pascagoula River of Mississippi.The cause of decreasing of it's population are lack of habitats poaching and crow predation.

This kind of beautiful turtle is critically endangered and under serious threat of extinction.It's head and all legs are designed with yellow and black colored stripes.Newly discovered Pearl River map turtle is also under threat of extinction.
