The possible case ended up being positive

I was away for a few days here because I felt a little sick I had tonsillitis, well I remind you that in my last publication I told you that my community was alarmed by a possible case and what do you think? The possible case ended up being an official case announced by the President of Venezuela.

Estuve unos días ausente por acá porque me sentía un poco enferma tenía una amigdalitis, bueno les recuerdo que en mi última publicación les conté que mi comunidad estaban alarmados por un posible caso y ¿Qué creen? El posible caso terminó siendo un caso oficial anunciado por el presidente de Venezuela.

My niece complies with preventive measures

Last night on the national network, the president announced that a woman from Piritu had tested COVID-19 positive for the PCR test, that is, here in my town there is already a case, as my friend tells me, "in a town that does not appear on the map ”(He jokingly says it), in the end not even a small town is saved.

Anoche en cadena nacional el presidente anunció que una señora de Piritu había dado positiva al COVID-19 a la prueba PCR, o sea aquí en mi pueblito ya hay un caso, como me dice mi amigo “en un pueblo que no aparece en el mapa” (el lo dice bromeando), en fín ni siquiera un pueblito se salva.

Unfortunately, the unconsciousness of the people is what made this happen near my community, since this lady was in contact with the first case at a party they held in mid-quarantine in a nearby town. Who can think of having a party in the middle of a pandemic? Here people do not become aware, they think that quarantine is an invention of the president so that we stay locked up and nobody goes out to protest the gasoline shortage.

Lamentablemente la inconciencia de las personas es lo que hizo que esto ocurriera cerca de mi comunidad, puesto que esta señora estuvo en contacto con el primer caso en una fiesta que hicieron en plena cuarentena en un pueblo cercano. A ¿Quién se le ocurre hacer una fiesta en plena pandemia? Aquí las personas no toman conciencia, piensan que la cuarentena es un invento del presidente para que nos quedemos encerrados y nadie salga a protestar por la escasez de gasolina.

Shortly after the president announced the case, some people came to my house disinfecting the street, because we live near the hospital where the patient is, this morning the mayor of the municipality reported that they are doing the study to all the contacts that the lady had to detect if these people were infected or not.

Al poco rato de que el presidente anunciara el caso, pasaron por mi casa unas personas desinfectando la calle, debido a que vivimos cerca del hospital donde se encuentra la paciente, hoy en la mañana la alcaldesa del municipio informó que están haciendo el estudio a todos los contactos que tuvo la señora para detectar si se contagiaron o no éstas personas.

Now if the alarm is real, we have an official case and other possible cases, in particular last night when I found out I felt like rage, because I know that it is because of ourselves that this virus spreads; There is still no vaccine, there are thousands of deaths and the best not to get it is complying with the preventive measures announced by the World Health Organization.

Ahora la alarma si es real, tenemos un caso oficial y otros posibles casos, en lo particular anoche al enterarme sentí como rabia, porque se que es a causa de nosotros mismo que este virus se propaga; aún no hay vacuna, hay miles de muertos y la mejor de no contraerlo es cumpliendo las medidas preventivas anunciadas por la Organización Mundial de la Salud.

My neighbors have ignored the measures dictated by the government, tonight, they met and sat outside their cases without the mask, they also allow their children to go out to play with other children, this is worrying because we already have a case and they are not doing anything to avoid contagion.

Mis vecinos han hecho caso omiso a las medidas dictadas por el gobierno, hoy en la noche, se reunieron y se sentaron afuera de sus casos sin el tapaboca, asimismo permiten que sus hijos salgan a jugar con otros niños, esto es preocupante porque ya tenemos un caso y no están haciendo nada para evitar el contagio.

In my house my family and I, we stay locked up, we go out alone to buy food and it is because it is necessary, in fact even my niece who is 2 years old wears the mask here at home without anyone telling her or when she sees that we are going to go out tells us to put them on. And this is where I am convinced that it is from our house that we can cut the chain of infections. Here my brothers and I want to take care of ourselves, but especially my mom and my niece.

En mi casa mi familia y yo, nos quedamos encerrados, salimos solo a comprar comida y es porque es necesario, de hecho hasta mi sobrina Daniela que tiene 2 años de edad usa el tapaboca aquí en casa sin que nadie le diga o cuando ve que vamos a salir nos dice que nos los pongamos. Y aquí es donde estoy convencida que es de nuestra casa que podemos cortar la cadena de contagios. Aquí mis hermanos y yo queremos cuidarnos a nosotros mismos, pero especialmente a mi mamá y a mi sobrina.

It is sad that people's ignorance and unconsciousness are the lethal tools of the coronavirus for its spread.
From here from my little town, I ask you to please take care of yourself, to avoid leaving your cases as much as possible and if you must, please take the necessary measures to avoid contagion.

Es triste que la ignorancia y la inconciencia de las personas sean las herramientas letales del coronavirus para su propagación.
Desde aquí desde mi pueblito, les pido que por favor se cuiden, que eviten lo más posible salir de sus casos y si deben de hacerlo por favor tomen las medidas necesarias para evitar el contagio.
