El sentido o significado de la palabra libertad nos ha tocado muy de cerca a la mayoria de los venezolanos, pero no puedo hablar por todos.

The meaning or meaning of the word freedom has touched most of the Venezuelans very closely, but I cannot speak for everyone.

Si bien es cierto que no estamos en una carcel, no estamos presos fisicamente, en ese sentido somos libres, pero desde hace muchos años tenemos reprimida la libertad hasta para decidir que queremos comer.

Although it is true that we are not in a prison, we are not physically imprisoned, in that sense we are free, but for many years we have been repressed freedom even to decide what we want to eat.

No actuar de acuerdo a lo que queremos ser, hacer o tener es una forma de no tener libertad. Cuando no podemos decidir comer lo que queremos, sino lo que hay, o para lo que alcance el dinero que disponemos; no poder elegir que estudiar por no poder cubrir los gastos de estar fuera de casa, no poder salir de tu casa sin temor a la inseguridad; esto no es libertad.

Not acting according to what we want to be, do or have is a way of not having freedom. When we cannot decide to eat what we want, but what there is, or for what the money we have reaches; not being able to choose what to study for not being able to cover the expenses of being away from home, not being able to leave your home without fear of insecurity; this is not freedom.

Cuando eres juzgado por tus ideas contrarias a las de otros, no hay libertad para expresar nuestro desacuerdo con la situacion actual, cuando opinas diferente pierdes tu empleo, cuando te uniforman obligatoriamente para cumplir con un partido politico, no hay libertad.

When you are judged for your ideas contrary to those of others, there is no freedom to express our disagreement with the current situation, when you think differently you lose your job, when you are obligatorily uniformed to meet a political party, there is no freedom.

Nos han limitado tanto estos años, pero no han podido con nuestra fuerza de voluntad de salir para adelante, nos podran quitar muchas cosas, pero nuestra fe, nuestra esperanza y confianza plena en Dios de que esto pasara y seremos mejor pais, mejores seres humanos, nadie nos podra quitar eso, si tu no los dejas, nadie podra.

These years have limited us so much, but they have not been able with our will power to move forward, many things could be taken from us, but our faith, our hope and full trust in God that this will happen and we will be a better country, better human beings Nobody can take that away from us, if you don't leave them, nobody can.

Y unidos somos mas, somos mas los buenos que los malos, y siempre triunfa el bien sobre el mal, porque los buenos somos mas.
Por eso yo les digo, que vivire en un pais que actualmentese se encuentra reprimido y oprimido; pero yo me siento libre porque ellos no invadiran mi mente ni mi alma, por eso yo estoy en Libertad.

And united we are more, we are more good than bad, and good always triumphs over evil, because the good are more.
So I tell you, that I will live in a country that is currently repressed and oppressed; but I feel free because they will not invade my mind or my soul, that is why I am in Freedom.
