Hello i hope everyone is doing well! 5 days ago i got back in game watching movies and series. Till now i watched a couple of them which i am gonna write my reviews in the following days.

Starting today we gonna talk about another Korean film called The Divine Move. The last Korean film i watched was Time to Hunt which i also reviewed here! As in my review i didn't quite enjoyed it, even though Korean Cinema is one of the top for me, so i had to find something better just for the sake of it!

Quite randomly as i was scrolling through Korean Films and i stumbled across the Divine move. To tell you the truth after all the movies i have seen i can tell by checking the wallpaper and the synopsis whether i will like or not!

Plot

The film came out during 2014 and is considered an action crime one. I would add that it has quite some violence as well so keep the kids away!

The film starts with the pro but nerdy Go (Baduk) player Tae Seok that suddenly during a rainy day he got taken by his brother too play an "illegal" Go game for high stakes.

What they do is that one of them plays the game while Tae Seok from a small camera or by hearing the moves inform his brother via a small microphone of what to play next. What they didn't notice though, was that the other player was doing the same trick as well and to add to that they were familiar with this tactic because that's their "job"

They were and underground cruel gangster group that when they discover that Tae Seok's brother was "stealing" they got both of them tortured them badly (and i mean it) and after that killed his brother. Then Tae Seok was framed from killing his own brother.

While in prison Tae Seok's only goal was to seek revenge from that group and thankfully he helped both the chief of the prison and the "chief" of the prisoners to improved their GO skills in exchange for fighting training!

After he got out of prison he formed a 4 people group that all new how to play GO but each and everyone had a single role. Every single one had cool names as well like "The cheater", "The carpenter" and the one and only "Drinking Jesus"

Then he found each of the members of the underground group and killed them cruelty reminded them who he was and what they did to him. There is another plot that i won't tell you at that point because it's way better to watch it yourselves!

Good & Bad

What i liked the most was the action and ofc acting behind the film. The fight scenes are in general pretty decent and what i didn't expected at all was the cruelty in their actions. Be ready for some cruel act of violence that made sense both from the perspective of gangsters but from the brother that seeks revenge as well!

Also the plot i mentioned before is quite awesome and because of that they created a Divine Move 2 film that i will review the following days! The movie was very enjoyable if you want to see an action one so id definitely recommend it!

The only "drawback" that some of you may think it's a little weird is the fact that he became such a good fighter in prison. It's literally like he evolved from a nerd to the best MMA fighter in the world :p
