Day 6 of Lockdown

in GEMS4 years ago

Lovely Sunday and how bright the sky is as I opened my eyes to see the beauty of the morning. Well last night I never slept early but still I managed to wake early and to see the beauty of nature. But as I am up and awake this day, I can’t do away without saying thank you to my creator. It is by his grace and mercies that am kicking each day.

To start with, as we woke in the capacity to still observe a partial lockdown which is staged for two week, our minister of information made a tweet after a new directive by the President known as EI 66, and in this act the President in the name of Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo said there is going to be an extension on all boarders of ours for the next two week, starting from midnight Sunday 5th April, 2020. He further added that this is for only to seize the movement of people but how ever goods are free to enter the country.

Away from that, all the fourteen people who were arrested for the violation of the partial lockdown directives were sent to court and the judge ended up asking the police to keep them until some days before they report back for the commencement for their case. But the police general of Kasoa in the central region stated that most of these people had foolish reasons as to their moving about and were never going to comply so they had no choice than to arrest them.

The recent ex-president of the country in the person of John Dramani Mahama also present PPEs to his foundation set in charge to combat this global pandemic worth 300,000 ghana cedis. In his press statement he said even though there is a shortage in PPEs all over he will do everything in his power to help fight covid-19.

Head potters of the market in some part of Greater Accra region cried out to the government to support them since most people do not come out to but stuffs for them to also have a little by helping them to carry their loads around. Even though the member of parliament in that constituency presented to these head potters some bags of rice with assorted drinks to help them during this era of pandemic. Education was also given to them as to how they can stay safe in this era.

Lastly, nurses at the ridge hospital in the Greater Accra region of Ghana, West Africa, were all out not to work simply because they are traumatized, over not being tested after they got to here a patient from their hospital had the corona virus. They begged the government to come test them or else they were never going to resume work since they might hurt others should in case they have the virus too.

I will humbly end Day 6 here and advise we all stay safe
