Welcome to a new publication, what I want to show you next is a project that we carried out over a year ago

Sean bienvenidos a una nueva publicación, lo que quiero mostrarles a continuación es un proyecto el cual realizamos hace más de un año

It was quite a challenging project, in which we had to do a complete restoration, since it is a work car it is wear and tear that it had from use and the time was considerable

Fue un proyecto bastante desafiante, en el tuvimos que hacer una restauración completa, al tratarse de un auto de trabajo y el desgaste que tenía por el uso y el tiempo era considerable

Let me show you how I started this project, so you can appreciate the radical change when it is finished

Déjame mostrarte cómo comencé este proyecto, para que puedas apreciar el cambio radical cuando esté terminado

At the beginning of this project we had to take everything apart. We removed everything that was inside, I mean the seats, the upholstery of the ceiling, the upholstery of the doors, the front glass among other things

A inicios de este proyecto tuvimos que desarmar todo. Retiramos todo lo que había en el interior, me refiero a los asientos, el tapizado del techo, los tapizados de las puertas, el vidrio frontal entre otras cosas

And after having repaired the floor of the car. We continue with the repair of the exterior. Of course it had a lot of details

Y luego de haber reparado el piso del auto. Continuamos con la reparación del exterior. Por supuesto que tenía muchísimos detalles

So I had to correct them all so that in the end it looked like new, to complete this process it took me about 4 days of work

Así que yo debí corregirlos todos para que al final se viera como nuevo, para completar este proceso me demore alrededor de 4 días de trabajo

Since it is a total restoration, you must take the time to correct absolutely everything. because not a single detail can remain

Como es una restauración total, debe tomarse el tiempo para corregir absolutamente todo. porque no puede quedar un solo detalle

So for that you have to move little by little but with firm steps. With that idea, go on for days until you finish sanding and correcting everything

Entonces para eso tienes que moverte poco a poco pero con pasos firmes. Con esa idea, continúe durante días hasta que termine de lijar y corregir todo

When I was already at that point. I started to cover with paper to apply a product called a background. What I mean is that everything was already corrected so now it's time for the product that I mentioned, because that product seals the putty from moisture and the car body too

Cuando ya estaba en ese punto. Comencé a cubrir con papel para aplicar un producto llamado fondo. A lo que me refiero es que ya estaba todo corregido así que ahora es momento de el producto que mencione, porque ese producto sella la masilla de la humedad y la carrocería del auto también

That is why I cover the car with paper. Because I don't want to stain the pieces that are intact

Por eso cubro el auto con papel. Porque no quiero manchar las piezas que están intactas

Then I can start applying the product, in this case the product is white

Entonces puedo comenzar a aplicar el producto, en este caso el producto es blanco

It is a liquid product, so he applied it with the help of a paint gun and an air compressor, and of course he applied it to the whole car

Es un producto líquido, por lo que lo aplicó con la ayuda de una pistola de pintura y un compresor de aire, y por supuesto lo aplicó a todo el automóvil

After applying three coats of primer, I let it dry for 3 hours. If I need it to dry faster I can do it by exposing the car to the sun to speed up its drying by temperature

Después de aplicar tres capas de imprimación, lo dejo secar durante 3 horas. Si necesito que se seque más rápido, puedo hacerlo exponiendo el automóvil al sol para acelerar su secado por temperatura

When it was dry, he could sand it with the help of fine sandpaper. This process is vital because the finish of the painting depends on it

Cuando ya estaba seco lo pude lijar con la ayuda de un papel de lija fino. Este proceso es vital porque de él depende el acabo de la pintura

For this reason, it is sanded to smooth it, since the car paint is applied on this product

Por esa razón se lija para alisarlo, ya que la pintura del auto se va a aplicar sobre este producto

After having sanded everything. We paint it and let it dry for 24 hours, so that the next day they could assemble all the pieces we disassembled

Después de haber lijado todo. Lo pintamos y lo dejamos secar durante 24 horas, para que al día siguiente puedan ensamblar todas las piezas que desmontamos

That process took about a whole day, but when we finished putting each part in place. The car looked amazing

Ese proceso tomó aproximadamente un día entero, pero cuando terminamos de colocar cada parte en su lugar. El auto se veía increíble

Of course the black pieces that we disassembled we painted them black to make them look like new, likewise we painted the wheels to make them look better

Por supuesto, las piezas negras que desmontamos las pintamos de negro para que se vean como nuevas, así como pintamos las ruedas para que se vean mejor

Now yes the car is completely finished

Ahora sí, el auto está completamente terminado

Another project that we finished successfully. We certainly had a lot of work, but the key is to do good planning to meet the goals

Otro proyecto que terminamos con éxito. Ciertamente tuvimos mucho trabajo, pero la clave está en realizar una buena planificación para cumplir los objetivos
