I, along with my coworkers, take care of repairing the aesthetics of the cars. That is better known as straightened and paint or automotive paint. We are those people who are in charge of repairing your car after suffering a traffic accident or when you want to fix your damaged car.

I can say that it is a satisfactory job because many are very large and challenging projects, but it is incredible to start a project and be part of the process until it is finished.

For this reason on this occasion I want to share with you one of the projects that I mentioned. In this project I had the opportunity to be in charge from start to finish.

He took the opportunity to tell them that I will try to explain the processes as simple as possible so as not to extend myself too much, in the same way if after concluding you had any doubt with pleasure you can ask, well let's start

At my place of work, this car made by chevrolet sail model arrived, this car in particular is a taxi, which means that it is a car with a lot of wear and tear due to its continuous use. This time, car owners want to paint it in its original color, which is gray.

they want it to look like new, and the reason is that they are no longer going to use it as a taxi.

Soy una persona que cree fielmente que cada día hay algo nuevo que aprender y esta vez quiero compartir con ustedes las experiencias que he tenido al llevar a cabo diferentes proyectos en mi lugar de trabajo.

Yo, junto con mis compañeros de trabajo, me encargo de reparar la estética de los automóviles. Eso se conoce mejor como enderezado y pintura o pintura automotriz. Somos aquellas personas que se encargan de reparar su automóvil después de sufrir un accidente de tránsito o cuando desea reparar su automóvil dañado.

Puedo decir que es un trabajo satisfactorio porque muchos son proyectos muy grandes y desafiantes, pero es increíble comenzar un proyecto y ser parte del proceso hasta que esté terminado.

Por esta razón en esta ocasión, quiero compartir con ustedes uno de los proyectos que mencioné. En este proyecto tuve la oportunidad de estar a cargo de principio a fin.

Aprovechó la oportunidad para decirles que intentaré explicar los procesos de la manera más simple posible para no extenderme demasiado, de la misma manera si después de concluir que tiene alguna duda con gusto puede preguntar, bueno comencemos.

En mi lugar de trabajo, llegó este automóvil fabricado por chevrolet modelo Sail, este automóvil en particular es un taxi, lo que significa que es un automóvil con mucho desgaste debido a su uso continuo. Esta vez, los propietarios de automóvil quieren pintarlo en su color original, que es gris.

Quieren que se vea como nuevo, y la razón es que ya no lo van a usar como taxi.

Well, when I get a project like this, the first thing I do is take the whole car apart, I remove the rear view mirrors, door handles, headlights and taillights, antenna, front bumper, door rubbers, among others, the reason is that it is a total painting and these pieces cannot be painted because they are accessories.

Bueno, cuando recibo un proyecto como este, lo primero que hago es desarmar todo el automóvil, quito los espejos retrovisores, las manijas de las puertas, los faros y las luces traseras, la antena, el parachoques delantero, los cauchos de las puertas, entre otros, la razón es que es una pintura total y estas piezas no se pueden pintar porque son accesorios.

After that what follows is to remove all the safety and decorative stickers that are on the car paint.

Once the car is clean I can begin to correct the details that it has. Many of these cars usually have blows of all kinds and what you want is to correct them so that you do not see any defect when applying the new paint.

Después de eso, lo que sigue es quitar todas las pegatinas de seguridad y decorativas que están en la pintura del automóvil.

Una vez que el auto está limpio, puedo comenzar a corregir los detalles que tiene. Muchos de estos autos generalmente tienen golpes de todo tipo y lo que quiero es corregirlos para que no veas ningún defecto al aplicar la pintura nueva.

In this case, the blows that it has are mostly corrected with the help of a product called Putty. It is a product that is applied and once dry it can be shaped to correct any detail. After that, it is necessary to seal that product against moisture. For this, a product called primer is applied to it, which not only seals the Putty but also serves as a base to apply the paint on top of it.

En este caso, los golpes que tiene se corrigen principalmente con la ayuda de un producto llamado masilla. Es un producto que se aplica y una vez seco se puede moldear para corregir cualquier detalle. Después de eso, es necesario sellar ese producto contra la humedad. Para esto, se le aplica un producto fondo, que no solo sella la masilla sino que también sirve como base para aplicar la pintura sobre ella.

The base is a product that is applied by means of a paint spray gun. It is a liquid product which has a drying time of 4 hours.

El fondo es un producto que se aplica mediante una pistola de pintura. Es un producto líquido que tiene un tiempo de secado de 4 horas.

The product comes in several colors, the one we use in that case is gray so that the gray paint can easily cover it. Maybe you wonder why it looks red? What happens is that once the 3 coats of the background have been applied, a prominent color is applied to it. And this is done so that when it is sanded we can easily see how it looks.

As a final step before entering the paint booth, the car must be washed with soap that removes grease so that it is completely clean and dry.

This process takes around 3 hours as it is vital for the project to live up to expectations.

Once completed, you are ready to paint. First apply a coat of paint to the entire body, of course in the first coat of paint will not completely cover

The paint is already covered and all that remains is to apply a product called varnish, this product gives the shine to the car paint. Two coats are applied, one thin and the other charged, and the painting process is completed.

The gases of this product when applied are harmful to health, therefore, the use of protective masks is recommended.

Now it only remains to wait a period of 24 hours for the varnish to dry and the car can be touched
