What we had for the Eid Fitr?
Hello, friends especially foodies!
Just few days ago, our moslem friends celebrated their winning day, after a month of fasting, eid fitr. Although mom and i didn't celebrate it but we never absent eating ketupat sayur, an authentic dish for lebaran (eid fitr). Ketupat is kind of rice cake which made unto a square. Ketupat sayur means we cut and then eat it together with some vegetables cooked in coconut milk. So tasty and delicious. In eid fitr we usually shared this dish with relatives or friends, any near us. Now during the pandemic,
Here what we had in the morning
Authentic Ketupat Sayur
It was beyond comparison. The flavour of labu siam vegetable cooked in the coconut milk was so tasty, savory, sweet and spicy. It also had egg, tofu and potato. So delicious and unforgettable.
And for the lunch, we had one of authentic Jakarta dish, uduk rice. Who ever come here? You might have ever tried our special tasty rice which usually served with peanut paste. That time we ordered the uduk rice with indonesian fried chicken plus lodeh (but it was not lodeh at all cause it was like this morning, labu siam in coconut soup).
The taste and flavour of the uduk rice was savory tasty while the peanut paste had sweet, spicy and savory flavour.
The fried chicken was soft, had wealthy spices, with savory flavour. We also ordered the package with the fried tempeh, it also tasted savory.
While their lodeh was as same as we had for that morning. Had savory, sweet and spicy flavour and we loved it.
For the lunch we paid 70,500 IDR while in the morning was 28k IDR for a portion of the ketupat sayur. So it was 98,500 IDR or around 7 USD.
So wanna tried the ketupat sayur and uduk rice too?
