It was a non-consensual dick measuring contest, with a lot of retributions. I wasn't onboard with SF nor am I in anyway in support of the takeover. However, I do not want to delve into the rabbit hole of the witness system bcoz I love existing on steem, although I have always hinted towards the problem it has and also did touch on it on my latest video. I believe this incident will teach us a lot and a reform is on it's way.
I do not understand enough about nodes to make a comment on that.
