Gaping balls of gas.

Deep inside in a dense forest, right under the growing shade of a banyan, there sat a little boy with muddy hair and wearing banana leaves. There were hammocks and there were tents. There were tree houses and a well heated RV. But the kid was there under the shade.
No, it wasn't deliberate nor did he want to be there, he just had fallen on his head from the branch above. He was, afterall, pretty slow and this bump made him only slower.

The kid was a special kind of slow. Not too slow to have a messed up eye-hand coordination, but slow enough to fall and loosen a few more nuts and bolts. He was the type of slow that hung "live, laugh, love" posters in his room and posted "Aim for the moon so thay even if you miss you'll land on the stars!" as his facebook profile picture caption. That's a special kind of slow. The type that believes that if you do good for people, they will reciprocate it...or that a whore might turn to a saint. The type of slow that actually believes in "the stars have aligned".

How ridiculous is that?! Or is it just me!? Do people have to really bind their beliefs or trusts into something so trivial? Part of is sure there's could be a legend or a lore to these sort of phrases, but part of me just has passionate hate for it. To me they are nothing but fancy phrases. The "put your trust in the cards" just doesn't rev my engines.

Today, it only solidified further. I do believe that when you truly want something you'll subconsciously make the universe work to get you that, by making yourself a facilitator. However, I do not believe that by some magic nebula voodoo a few stars stand in a marching line to swish their galactic wands to send down the mystical "do it" spell. Even if they'd line up, chances are they are dead and they had shone in different times in different distances without ever lining up. How sad. A total bummer.
