Collaboration between Civil Engineering and the world of photography
Some people consider the world of Civil Engineering only to plan a construction, be it new construction or old construction or rehabilitation. But in the field of Civil Engineering is closely related to these construction photos or more precisely is photo documentation.
What are the documentation photos for?
Photograph documentation is as a process or proof of work before it is done, is being done and after done. This documentary photo will be one of the most important documents at the time of checking by people who have extensive insight into construction, if this documentation photo cannot be shown then civil engineering experts will not believe what we have done later.
Blamed for lack of documentation?
Yes, it is common in this field, but only to people who are careless or have limited knowledge. Every work that takes place or is completed must have a construction documentation, be it photographs, work drawings or back up calculations.
As I have written in a previous post, about the accuracy in taking action is the most needed thing here. No origin and stick to the theory that has been agreed by a country, if this still happens means that it can be criminalized according to applicable regulations.
Below is part of a photo of the construction documentation that I saved for the job, because that is the regulation of the field Civil Engineering. The photo that I show off also looks interesting, because there are some clear objects so that the photo looks more beautiful.
- Panorama mode photos
A few days ago my team and I had the duty to check the buildings in one of the schools in Aceh, our task here was to record all buildings that were suitable for use or vice versa. Because this program is to renew the school environment so that it becomes better and more convenient for everyone who uses it. Not only that, we also have to make working drawings, starting from the initial drawings up to the plan drawings and that is in 3D.
The day or the bright sun makes this photo more colorful, you can notice the shape and color. But a little color in this photo to make it brighter and of course I did not change the original color too much.
- Manual sketches or scribbles for survey data
This sketch becomes our shadow to make initial drawings and plan drawings, with this sketch we can find out what is needed at the work location.
Although this sketch was not examined in the future, I had to save it for proof that I had indeed reviewed the work location and the planning product that I made was also in accordance with what was in the field.
Below are photos that have bright colors and take photos using the normal mode.
Measurements or observations do not use the tools (Theodolite) or Waterpass, I only use manuals only, as I have explained in previous posts. Here

This method can be said to be the basic method because it still uses manual tools, if someone who is new to this field, then the most important thing to learn is basic science or manuals.
