THEME: OPPORTUNITY
Monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.
Not a powerful monster this week.
This theme is about the ability of some monsters.
Thanks to @carrieallen to give us something different than every week.
Sometimes it gets harder to digest the same thing again & again.
CAVE SLUG
Today I used this card for the theme "Opportunity".
It's a common life monster.
I have this card in level 4 with 3 melee attack, 2 speed & 5 health.
It needs 5 mana for a battle.
I had this card in level 1 and I don't think I used it before although I knew "Opportunity" is a nice ability.
I was not sure which card to use for this team so I did investigate for a moment with every splinter.
I went to splinterlands market and checked every splinter and I've found this card more powerful than others beside it's a life monster and I have better cards in life splinter so I thought it'd be the best fit for me in this theme.
I had 2 of this card and bought 28 more as I wished it to be in level 4 which needed a total of 30 cards.
The list is bigger so I'm not showing furthermore.
- I just created this post sharing a video play link of one of my battles using Opportunity theme.
- Just finished tagging splinterlands and spt.
- So, to explain my lineup... Why did I use the cards I did? And why in that order?
Yeah about that... In this match; I've played with life splinter (the splinter that I like the most).
A Brief Info About The Match
Both me and the opponent were in Gold 2 League.
The battles mana cap was 48 with "Fog of War & Close Range" Rules.
I used life splinter for the match while my opponent used water splinter
My Lineup.
I had my Goblin Mech in level 6, Cave Slug in level 4, Prismatic Energy in level 6, Air Elemental in level 4, Evangelist in level 3 & Peacebringer in level 6.
It was my setup.
And my opponent had his/her cards as Goblin Mech in level 5, Spineback Turtle in level 4, Mushroom Seer in level 4, Swamp Thing in level 2, Centaur in level 4 & Earth Elemental in level 1.
Let me talk about cards that I used in this battle.
Summoner: TYRUS PALADIUM (RARE Life Summoner)
A Khymerian prophecy says that a chosen hero will rise from humble beginnings to wield the Silver Shield and the Silver Sword, uniting the world against evil. Whispers in Khymeria say that Tyrus Paladium, the talented summoner who began as a fisherman is that chosen hero - Source.
My TYRUS PALADIUM is in level 6 and she offers +1 shield to his monsters.
He needs 3 mana for battle.

No 01: Goblin Mech (Common Neutral Monster)
This mechanical monstrosity is a recent creation of Gurklies Gobson, the wild and wealthy Goblin scientist. As with everything the Goblins make, it runs on Goblin power, meaning that it’s full of Goblins, turning cranks and pulling levers. The Mech is run by seven Goblins in addition to the pilot. Source
My Goblin Mech is in level 6 with 5 melee attack, 3 speed, 6 shield, 7 health with "Piercing & Stun" ability.
It needs 10 mana.
Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.
No 02: CAVE SLUG (COMMON Life Monster)
In southern Khymeria, near the Crystalline Harbor, there is a dank place known as Baluthar's Deep. There are stories of ancient treasures buried there in the darkness, but the most that treasure hunters typically find is a slew of hideous cave monstrosities. One of the most well-known is the Cave Slug, which hides in plain sight and devours victims quite quickly - Source.
My CAVE SLUG is in level 4 with 3 melee attack, 2 speed, 5 health with "opportunity" ability.
It needs 5 mana.
Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.
No 03: Prismatic Energy (Rare Neutral Monster)
A Gloridax experiment gone awry has resulted in a blinding Prismatic Energy loose in the Splinterlands. The Gloridax news briefs have assured the public that there is only one Prism on the loose, but the mysterious Energy moves fast, leaving a wake of magical destruction wherever it goes. Source
My Prismatic Energy is in level 6 with 2 magic attack, 5 speed, 10 health with "Magic Reflect & Void" ability.
It needs 8 mana.
Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.
No 04: Air Elemental Epic Life Monster
Khymian summoners have mastered the art of summoning air in its Elemental form. These Elementals are mostly invisible, so they are extremely difficult to hit with any attack. The mighty blasts of air they shoot can take down a powerful foe from incredible distances. Source
My Air Elemental is in level 4 with 3 ranged attack, 6 speed, 6 health with "Dodge" ability and it needs 5 mana.
I like this card too much for its high attack power and high speed.
It's a great asset for life splinter.
Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.
No 05: EVANGELIST (EPIC Life Monster)
With extremely loud voices, these Khymian criers recount the tales and prophecies of Khymia, their all-powerful Goddess. They have learned to use frequency and vibration to smite their enemies and support their allies, although they cannot always predict the outcome - Source.
My EVANGELIST is in level 3 with 4 ranged attack, 2 speed, 6 health with "Heal" ability.
It needs 6 mana.
Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.
No 06: PEACEBRINGER (RARE Life Monster)
The Peacebringers are a multi-talented collective of Khymians who focus on public service and charity, but that is only their cover. True Peacebringers are masters of martial arts and members of the secret underground resistance to the Order of the Silver Shield. These warriors are especially skilled with throwing weapons - Source.
My PEACEBRINGER is in level 6 with 4 ranged attack, 4 speed, 6 health.
It needs 4 mana.
Go on check out this card from Splinterlands Market if you wish to.

Battle Results
- Yeah my strategy worked out perfectly and I think I'll use monsters with opportunity ability again & again if I need to.
- No, I don't play with this theme often cause I didn't need it.
But now I think it's a nice ability to use. - I already shared this post with #steemmonsters #spt tags on youtube and going to share it on twitter also.
