Happy Sunday everyone! Today I present you an illustration of a piece of cake that I made with all my love, since we are in quarantine, this confinement makes you want to eat candys. ¿Would you eat this delicious chocolate cake?

Hoy les presento una ilustración de un pedazo de pastel que hice con todo mi cariño, ya que estamos en cuarentena, este encierro dan muchas ganas de comer dulces ¿Te comerías este delicioso pastel de chocolate?

Step by step / Paso a paso

First make the shape of the cake using a dark brown shade and the pencil tool with a medium opacity.

Primero realice la forma del pastel usando un tono marrón oscuro y la herramienta de lápiz con una opacidad media.

Add a background of a dull pink shade, as I thought it would work well with that color, I also added color to each layer of the pastel with the watercolor brush, gradually adding shadows and light colors in the center.

Agregue un fondo de un tono rosa opaco, ya que me pareció que quedaría bien con ese color, además añadí color a cada capa del pastel con el pincel de acuarela, poco a poco añadiendo sombras y colores claros en el centro.

The next step was to add some cherries to my piece of cake for this I used a light red tone which I was mixing with other darker reds and a pale pink to add the brightness of the top of the cherry, for this step I had to zoom in on the image to give it more detail.

El siguiente paso fue agregar unas cerezas a mi trozo de pastel para esto use un tono rojo claro el cual fui mezclando con otros rojos más oscuros y un rosa pálido para agregar el brillo de la parte de arriba de la cereza, para este paso tuve que hacer mucho zoom a la imagen para darle más detalle.
