Kimetsu no Yaiba' has already exceeded the sales of 'Attack on Titan' in Japan

The battle to become the top seller in the Japanese industry has always been close. Over the years, we have had some great contenders, and where 'Dragon Ball' has set its own unbeatable record, we have also seen series that we consider to be classics, such as 'Naruto', 'Bleach' and, of course, 'One Piece'.

Now the same battle is being fought with other series, and among them, 'Kimetsu no Yaiba' (better known here as 'Guardians of the Night') seems to be the one that takes the lead. Koyoharu Gotoge's publication is on everyone's lips worldwide and seems to have no limits on its ambition.

Kimetsu no Yaiba' continues to aim high

This is now demonstrated by a new record broken after the latest figures from the company Oricon, which publishes the sales lists of the various active publications. If its volume 20 already surprised with sales of almost two million units (without taking into account the 850,000 achieved by its special version), its next launch has been launched with a circulation of three million units, raising its total sales beyond seventy million. An unimaginable figure.

With these, 'Kimetsu no Yaiba' manages to surpass 'Attack on Titan', also known as 'Attack on the Titans', which was listed as the second best-selling series in history, just below 'One Piece'. This work, published by Hajime Isayama, was removed from the top sales of the year in 2014, after five consecutive years of reign.
Now, there is only one place between 'Kimetsu no Yaiba' and Eiichiro Oda's work. However, the difference is still exaggerated. The fact is that the figures add up to an estimated 365 million copies of 'One Piece'.
