The authorities had decided to not turn on the lights for the decoration at Chinatown this weekend to reduce crowd. I don't think the crowd would be reduce. This is the last weekend before Chinese New Year. You won't get to see the light up but should see all of these.

官方已决定不亮起在牛车水的农历新年装饰为了向减少人群。我不认为人群会减少。这是农历新年的最后一个周末。你将不会看到亮起的装饰可是应该看到所有的这些。

A few weeks ago, after dinner at Chinatown, it was time to check out what's selling for Chinese New Year. My wife and I went down from the food centre at Chinatown Complex. There is a mural on this wall.

They had put up a God of Fortune on this side of Smith Street.

Without the road closure for setting up of Chinese New Year market stalls, there were still crowded.

The cured meat seller found a place to sell their stuff.

The peanuts and melon seeds seller too.

This street would have been where the Chinese New Year market stalls would set up.

There are some restaurants there.

Looked like quiet good business too.

This shop selling their normal stuff that is not so related to Chinese New Year had no interest.

这家商店出售他们的平常卖的东西，跟农历新年没什么关系，也没什么人有兴趣。

At Smith Street, there are 2 kinds of people. One would be eating. The other like me were passing by.

在史密斯街，有2种人。一是在吃东西的。其他像我这样的路人。

Went to this shop which was already closed so my wife could not get her pineapple tarts there.

去到这店已经关了，所以太太买不到她的黄梨挞。

Outside to the main road at South Bridge Road, there is an Indian temple decorated with Chinese New Year decoration. Does this happen in anywhere else besides Singapore? 😎

出去大路桥南路主路，有一个印度寺庙装上了农历新年装饰。这是否只会发生在新加坡？ 😎
