Contest: Courtesy
Hello everyone, On this occasion, I would like to participate in a contest held by @eveetim about Contest: Politeness On this occasion I would like to invite my friends @bossj23 @jasminemary and @chilaw to participate in this contest. Here is my entry.
Courtesy is described as the attitude whereby we respect and show consideration for others as well as good manners when we speak. Rubbing & Tapping is a keystone in social behavior which assists to maintain harmony between individuals. It’s ingrained in human nature, and in most societies, certainly in mine (and yours, too), politeness has been considered both a mark of a person’s character and education.
I believe in being polite. It is not a societal unwritten rule for nothing, but it also signifies maturity and empathy. Politeness prevents friction, gives sense of security, glue which binds together the people. Yes, politeness does have to be followed, because it is a part of society where people have been brought up with the values of society and old timeethere has been prevailing, that it has most probably swayed the attitude of how society must continue and the values passed on by generation to generation Similar documents Point of View Written Expression Shifting Essay ENERGY TNS One of the realized disadvantages was that the appearance was much simpler, leading to the basic conclusion, that in their case they still suffering from under-maturity and if the tone here was distant, the new album sounds totally ready for child-to-man evolution-style partnership themes.
There are a lot of times in my culture where quite a lot is expected of you in terms of politeness. Five examples are:
Greeting the elders — In our culture it’s very important to greet our elders and show them respect, you could bow your head down a little or even kiss their hands.
Talking to teachers or parents – Saying please and speaking quietly are very important. Yielding a seat on public transport – A step of courtesy, the elderly, pregnant, or people with special needs are encouraged to be given seats on public transportation.
Not interrupting – Again, one of the rules of conversation is respecting the person who is speaking by letting them speak.
Thank you and excuse me – These two words are indicative of showing respect and acknowledging the presence or services of others.
As such, for me, manners aren't just protocol but a way of showing respect for people. It also makes the world a friendlier, more humane, friendlier place. Preserving manner is preserving the legacy of noble beliefs that have been treasured from generation to generation. If everyone were just a bit more polite then I think we'd all get along much better.
