SEC WK2 : The language in my country

Give a brief history about my country is alway my desire and to share my experience in language differences, in regards to tribe ethic and other social cultural happening and beliefs. I'm hopeful my view on this contest will be recommended and of value.
What is the name of your country? How many languages can be found in your country?

I'm from Nigeria a country in Western Africa sharing the boundaries with Cameroon, Chad, Benin republic and other, in Nigeria as a name was originated from Niger river running in and out of the country. The name was given by British lady Flora Shaw, who was the wife of Baron Frederick Lugard. Nigeria gain independent on the 1960. Nigeria has over 5 million people in population and it increasing gradually due to increase rate in child birth.
Nigeria has over 36 state with capital having Abuja as the federal capital territories the first capital territory was in Cross River the southern part of the country before it was shifted to Lagos now Abuja is now the capital territory with much of industrialization, lagos is one of the rich state out of the 36 state with a lot of industrialization and opportunities. Nigeria are know as the giant of Africa as they is a record of best land army and security.
Our flag is Green White and Green, Green here represent fertility, while white should cleanliness and honesty.
Nigeria geopolitical has Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Wesern geopolitical zone.
Nigeria has more than 50 language which includes Hausa, Igbo, Yoru back, Ibibo, fulfulde, Kanuri, Tiv, Efik, Annang, Adonsi Ijaw etc. Nigeria is a great national with a lot of natural resources such as gold stone, diamond, steel, copper, petroleum etc.
We also rich in water and aquatic livestock which includes turtle, fish etc. Tourist attraction is not an exception, talking about tourist attraction we have obudu cattle ranch zumà rock Aso rock etc.
As they is different tribes and religion they is different language too.

Among the listed languages in your country, how many are you familiar with?

Nigeria has over 50 language use and understand by a lot of tribe and people.
Those language include

*Hausa
*Yoruba
*Igbo
*Efik
*Fulfuled
*Kanuri
*Bura
Other languages include
*Isoko *Tiv *edo *fulani *Idoma *ijaw *kamwe *ukwuani *urohobo *Nupe *Gbayi *adonsi *igala *idoma *Annang * oron *eket *kakanada etc.
And out of these language listed am able to speak few like Ibibio, Efik, Urohobo, igbo etc.
And i understands and can understands and speak few like Ibibio, Annang, Efik, Igbo, Hausa, ijaw etc.

How has this language improved/helped your life and business?

Talking this language helping me a lot

  • I can interact with people from different tribe and religion getting to hear them express themselves the way they wish to say and talk
  • In my business it have given me opportunity to interact with them and make adjustments in price of commodity or goods if need be
  • It strengthen my relationship with those who speaks the same language..
  • It gives me confident while accessing them and build a good relationship with them.
Are you willing to teach your children these languages? Yes/No. State your reason.

I will teach my children those language and make sure they are good in it, so that they can trade wisely and when they see themselves in an avenue to express it.
It also give them a upper credit when it comes to exchange of good and service even relationships with tribes they speaks
Learned other language gives them opportunities to study and understand the traditions and customs of that tribe.
This will give them courage to learn more language and be acquainted with it.

That vibes of going into business and then meeting your colleague you communicate using Same language and expressing yourself properly is always massive.
It incomparable.

Nigeria are so blessed.
I here is an indigene from Ibibio nation.

I so love my language such that when I speak people around can easily know my tribe even without understanding what I'm saying.
