Steemit Engagement Challenge S5/W3 - My Diary Game Entry in Steem4Nigeria: 25/10/2022

Just like any early morning rush hour, today was no exception. When I came out to the bus stop to get a bus to work, everywhere was rowdy, people were on the move, some to get to school early, some to get to work,others with appointment to keep. With the crowd that comes out every morning, I knew I won't be able to easily get one. Sometimes, you have to wait minutes and even hours before a bus will come along, and when it does, people will scramble for it in a haste not minding if anyone gets hurt in the process.

I stood at the bus stop for good 20 minutes before I was able to get one.

The traffic was something else, a car had broken down in the middle of the road causing the go-slow, the bus driver has to take a U-TURN following another clearbut longer route. Some of the passengers complained that they were already late but there's nothing you can do but shut up if you wanted to get to work.

The weather was bright and sunny in the morning. The sun became too hot between 10:15am till 3pm. By 3pm, the sun turned to a cloudy sky which have way to a heavy downpour by 4pm, the rain lasted for hours before it reduces to a drizzle. Because of the rain, buses were scarce in the evening,drivers saw this as an opportunity to make some money our of passengers.

I bought Abacha for lunch which cost 300 (2 steems). Abacha is an African Salad, a local delicacy which I don't hesitate to eat when I see it. Abacha dried tapioca made from cooked cassava sliced into pieces and dried. Iris prepared with utazi leaves, dried paper, potash, red oil, crayfish, diced garden eggs and fish or meat. With these ingredients, it is a rich meal.

I work in a cybercafe that handles computers and internet works for people. Most of what do is typing, some days you would type a customer's work for hours and even days before they are satisfied by your services.

A customer came to the office and was weeping bitterly about how she has just been defrauded. She wasn't making sense at first when she came in but after a few minutes of calming her down she then explained how a group of tout had made away with her money, the funny thing is that she was the person that gave it to them.

She said she had made plans to go to the market at Obete Market to buy some foodstuffs and repair some problems on her phone. The next thing she saw was a guy asking her something and before she knew it, she has been hyponotized. The guys were able to get vital informations about her bank details and with that was able to withdraw money from her ATM card which she in turn gave to them. They only gave her fare that will be enough to get back to where she was coming from.

We quickly called her bank to block the account after confirming the exact amount they had taken. The it luck she had was that she has two account, one she uses for her major business which she had not come with the AtM to the market, if not they would have also cleared everything in the account too. The atm she has contains only ₦21,000 (about 131 steem) which they took while the other one for business has over ₦500,000. Despite what happened, she was very grateful to God that that one was still intact.
