My New Year's Resolutions
Sincerely, I want to appreciate @goodybest for this writing prompt. New year resolution is not easy to make because making resolutions are not enough if you are not eventually going to stick to them. What I have discovered about most of the popular new year resolutions is that they end up not being carried out. At the end of the year, half of every resolution fails and ends up in the gutters.
To achieve your goals and carry out your resolutions, your goals must be SMART.
✔Specific: Your resolution should be clear. Don't make a vague plan you might end up skipping out on. Be specific about what you want, it could be long-term goals, but if you want to achieve them, you should break them into short-term goals. Doing this will help you to accomplish bigger things. Don't just say you want to make or save money next year, be specific about it. "I want to save 100k, 200k, next year.
✔Measurable: Can your goals be measured? Can you keep a process-by-process track of each milestone you attain? Or will it be anyhow it goes goals?
✔Achievable: Are your goals achievable? Are they realistic? Something that you can actually do. If you have a long-term goal of making 10 million before you hit 30 years, it is probably impossible but you can make it achievable by saving 50k every month, gradually you will get what you want.
✔Relevant: Are your goals relevant to you as individuals, to your beliefs, and values? Are you making them for the right reasons or wrong reasons? If you don't have a concrete reason why you have your goals, they will fall apart.
✔Time-bound: Like achievable, the time you want to achieve these goals of yours should be realistic. Don't make plans that might be too hard to complete. Make plans that are possible to actualize within a particular time frame.
What are your new year's resolutions?
Long Term Goals
- Personal Development
- Be financially independent
Short Trem Goals
- Registering for a digital skill (Social media marketing) and improving on the skill that I have already.
- Attend seminars, conferences, workshops, and TedX events.
- Volunteer
- Publish 2 books next year.
- Impact the knowledge that I have on others by making a blog post about my knowledge and hosting free classes.
- Build stronger relationships with people that will help me as I advance on m journey.
What is your resolution on Steemit?
✔Become more active and show up every week with educative and valuable articles.
✔Promote Steemit the best way I can via the social media platforms
✔Become a moderator and encourage community members by hosting a weekly contest in the community.
✔Become a dolphin before the 2nd half of the year.
What plans will I put in place to achieve all my goals?
Currently, I have gotten a course in Amazon Kdp because I am serious about writing and publishing a book next year.
I have also highlighted the social media marketing digital course that I will learn.
I am currently building writing content that will ensure that I stay true to my words.
Conclusion
In the end, if you believe you can achieve a goal, it is possible by the plans you put in place to achieve them. If you believe that no matter what you do, you will not be successful, then watch your plans fail.
I am inviting @lifeoflee, @ogwo and @okere-blessing to participate in this contest.
