SEC S15W4: "Broken Trust"

Hello friends, welcome to my blog as I engage in this week's SEC in the community. It has not been easy keeping up this day but we just have to continue rolling the ball as much as our strength can take us. There's always a breaking point and time of rest to avoid broken trust. Let's dive into today's topic on BROKEN TRUST.

The word trust is a simple word that comes with a lot of prizes. A prize that is sensitive to keep and if kept, bears unimaginable fruits or existence. This is a situation that ensures that two people can freely exist without doubts and suspicion of any kind. A time, when we could entrust things to people and believe they would do just as expected.

For some of us who easily trust, we are more susceptible to miscreants who are not only dubious but practice deceits as witchcraft. People are not really what they seem they are hence the time taken to earn trust for some because of human behaviors.

The issue of trust has been so much broken that people no longer trust themselves for anything. It is so bad that they look at the next person as one who would betray them if given any of the opportunities of trust.

I remember a conversation with a customer who came to my office and we got talking. We mentioned trust and how she could have handled the situation by trusting his family and siblings. She boldly told me that she does not trust anyone including herself.

This got me amazed and fixated on her for a while. She repeated herself and told me that if she cannot trust her, how much more do I expect her to trust her own family to achieve what she wants? This goes a long way to know that she won't give it a thought to discard third parties when trust issues are in the basket.

I have countless scenarios where I feel used, betrayed, and broken. This also goes with friends' cases who have narrated their broken trusts. I earlier mentioned that people of my nature are susceptible to broken trust due to our behavioral patterns. We easily align and believe have the same mentality as we do but that's on the contrary.

I have entrusted valuables to people who made away with them without any form of traces. All I do is count my losses. This case may also be related to some digital online transactions that turned out to be diverted after trusting the process.

Since we cannot continue to count our losses on concerns of trust, all we need to do is pay down on trusting people on most deliverables we indulge in. The word here is trusting less and believing in the outcomes or results.

Having the gift to discern when people are in their right behavioral pattern or not. When people speak, there is every tendency to know what value and quality they hold as their integrity.

To trust people, it must be earned over some time rather than by words of conviction. Earning trust would allow the individual to pass through some silent stages without their knowledge.
