Since from inception, man has always been a social animals. His mode of social life is quite different from other higher animals. This is how friendship are formed and consolidated. In recent times, a theory has been proposed that the amount of friendship should be minimize when the individual is married. Is it true and is it a myth? Let's find it out together.
How Do You See Continuing Friendship After Marriage? |

Continuing friendship after marriage is ok but the level of intimacy should be reduced. Some friendship between individuals are just more than friends. If it is brought to the notice of your spouse, it might pose an issue. Some friendship can be between opposite gender. People are understanding but not everyone is understanding. If your spouse isn't an understanding one, the best way to avoid any issue is to minimize the level of intimacy between your friend.

I strongly discourage the act of besties after marriage. This word "bestie" is easy to say but it has different meaning to different people. Imagine a woman calling another man "bestie" in the presence of her husband. The act may be nice but the understanding part is usually difficult. It can make the husband raise eyebrows on the supposed bestie. This can eventually lead to suspicion which can affect the marriage. In general, the name "bestie" should be reduced after marriage to avoid any issue that might arise.
An Experience Someone Had Which Affected Her Marriage Due To Friendship |

My neighbor has an experience that led her marriage to rock bottom because of those friendship. Let's get to the summary. The wife has a childhood male friend which she adores. She referred him to as "bestie". After marriage, the friendship still continued. Her bestie will go to the house of the couple regularly. The husband didn't considered much.
Whenever the bestie is around, the woman become interested in him and can spend hours with her bestie ignoring her husband. At a point, the husband can't bear it again, so he started monitoring them. On a fateful day, he caught them in an intimate session. That's how the marriage ended and the bestie left her. Then the woman lost her best friend and her husband.
My Personal Opinion of Continuing Friendship After Marriage |

As i said earlier, the level of the intimacy between friends should be reduced after marriage. Either of the couple might not be understanding enough. So if it continues, the marriage can likely hit a rock bottom.
Conclusively, friendship is good but we should weigh it's importance over marriage. Marriage is an institution that we shouldn't joke with at the cost of friendship. Please, be wise.
