Introduction

good day my friend, am so happy to be in this community once again, This week, it talks about C-section in a woman, I will explain everything I know about it, I wish you all the best.

How do you explain CS to a lay man understanding?

A Cesarean section (C-section), this is a surgical steps to deliver a baby through an incision in any mother's abdomen and uterus. It's sometimes performed when vaginal delivery is not safe, this include when the baby is in distress, or the mother has a medical condition, or the baby is not in a good position. The step is usually done under general anesthesia, and the mother immediately recovers in the hospital for a few days.

Do you think CS should be a choice /right or as situation demands?

Cesarean section should be a medical decision made based on the circumstances and decisions of the mother and baby, rather than going for a personal choice. In many situations, a C-section is the best and most appropriate delivery method, which includes when there are risks connected with a vaginal birth. I’m some cases C-sections should not be done without a clear medical check up, as they carry big risks and long recovery times. the decision should be made between the mother and the health care team. The success should be, ensuring the best outcome for both the mother and child.

Is there any history or stories about the belief of women who gives birth through CS in your country/Community? Share with us.

In my country Nigeria, there is a belief that women who give birth though Cesarean section are seen as less of a "real" woman or mother. This is from traditional cultural belief

There are different stories of women facing social problems , discrimination, and even being stop by their communities for having a C-section. Some are even accused of taking the “simple way”. This old mindset can add emotional and psychological stress for women my country Nigeria.

What is your advice to that person who is refusing this process because of what people will say?

My advice to someone who is refusing a Cesarean section due to social stigma or fear of what others will say would be:

Focus on the safety of you and your baby. While I understand the cultural beliefs and social pressures, your main concern should be getting a safe delivery for both you and your baby.

Speak out with your doctor about your concerns. They can help you explain the medical benefits of a C-section. Trust the doctor because the tell the truth.

Surround yourself with loved ones who can encourage you to make the best decision that is right for you,

Your health and your baby wellbeing should be the first thing that comes to your mind.

Will you support your sister, wife to Choose CS in case of any emergency during childbirth? Or you allow her to wait until the due time.

If it were my sister or wife facing a difficult childbirth situation, I would have no other option than to support her in choosing a Cesarean section

The health and safety of my sister and child should be the first thing in any birth problem .

I would make it clear that I support her in making the best choice that is good for her and the baby, even if it means going against cultural belief.

bringing a new life into the world safely should be the best option, not a second choice. I would do everything in my power to create a nurturing, judgment-free environment for my sister to make the choice that gives both her and the baby the best chance at a healthy benefit.

Conclusion
