Africa is a land of ancient civilization. Africa as a whole have a very rich cultural heritage but at times we allow the European to influence us and make us feel that our heritage is inferior. I also remember the remember this song even my grandpa used to sing it as well. I am proud to be an African.

You are right that, unfortunately, we are allowing European and Western culture to influence us. Take us, the "Afrikaner." We don't dress or celebrate like our ancestors did. It is more important these days to wear Gucci or Louis Vuitton with a Rolex around our wrist.
