Nigeria And Her States ||Akwa Ibom

First and foremost I will like to thank the Admin. And the moderators of this community for creating a platform like this where all Nigerians can err their thoughts and feelings in the steemit community.

I will also like to thank the members of this community for being active because without you this community will not be useless.

Today will be the first time I'll be posting in this community and I'm looking forward for your support. I'll be posting about the states in Nigeria and their culture.

For some of our members who are not from Nigeria, Nigeria is a country with 36 States and capital and 1 federal capital territory (FCT) which serve as both the administrative capital and federal capital. For today, I will be starting with Akwa Ibom state

Geography:Akwa Ibom state covers an area of 7081km^2, it's located in the south-south geopolitical territory of the country and it make up the 6 state in the region . Uyo is the state capital.
It's the 30 largest state in the country after Enugu State (7161km^2)by land surface.
Of the 853km Nigeria's Alantic ocean coastline, the state bounded with 129km coastline which runs from Ikot Abasi to Ibeno Local government area.It has 3 senatorial district which consist of Ikot Ekpene, Uyo and Eket senatorial district.

Infrastructure: The state boast some of the best infastructure in the country, it has the cleanest city (Uyo) in the country the best stadium (30,000 capacity) in Nigeria and one of the best in Africa, the state with the best road network in the country, it has its own airport with one of the best air terminal in Africa soon to be completed this year, the only state in the country with its own air fleet(Ibom air) , its own power plant and many more, infact the number of infastructure in the state is endless.Here are some of the pictures;

This are some of the infastructure in the state that I can post here, there are many more and many more are under development.

Population and language: The population of the state was approximately 5.5million people as of 2016 census and the main language spoken there are Ibibio, Annang and Oro.the Ibibio and Annang are mostly identical with few dialect differences.

Culture and Religion: the culture mainly practice there are;"ekpo"(masquerade) and colorful cultural dance. The state is mainly Christianity with little or no Muslim.

Education and occupation: The state runs a free and compulsory educational system which covers student's fees from primary school through high school and which also state that no child of less than 14years is to be seen on the streets during school hours.the state is an oil and gas rich state and produce roughly 25percent of the country oil export. The citizens are mostly civil servants.

Health care: The state has the best health care system in the country with over 231 primary health care centers, general hospitals and a specialist hospital.

Conclusion

In conclusion Akwa Ibom state is one of the best place for tourism in the country with a green and clean environment, good road network and a mesmerizing environment.
