Let's show how creative you are:- Drawing - Penguin
Drawing and reference. Reference from;
To draw my penguin, I made use of an A4 paper, pencil, eraser, and a black colour pen as shown below;
Steps
- I started by sketching out the basic outline of the main diagram so I compare it to the real shape to know if I'm close to getting the actual drawing.
Next, I started filling in the details the makes the diagram that of an actual penguin
Finally I shaded the necessary parts to give it a real look.
A picture with my drawing.
Ten interesting facts about Penguins |
---|
Penguins are flightless birds.
They are known for their distinctive black and white plumage which looks like a formal tuxedo.
Though they're flightless and can't fly in air, they're excellent at swimming underwater.
They walk with awkward short steps on land due to their short legs positioned far back on their bodies.
Among all birds, the emperor penguins are the deepest divers and they can stay underwater for over 20 minutes while also holding their breath and hunting for fish.
Though they don't speak our human language, they use some sounds like trumpeting calls, growls and whistles, to communicate with each other.
The unique appearance and waddling walk of penguins makes them beloved icons in movies, cartons and the animal Kingdom.
The responsibility of maintaining the egg and also raising the chick is shared by the both parents.
Penguins keep evolving with incredibly amazing adaptations that helps them to survive in harsh environments. An example is the counter-current heat exchange systems which is present in their blood vessels and helps them to retain body heat in cold waters.
The penguin populations are facing some threats due to frequent climate change, the rise in the temperatures of the sea and the diminishing of their food sources.

Hello my dear friend, Thank for inviting to this contest, penguin are great birds and I love them for the unity and companionship. They are slow moving birds and in my perspective their movement connotes the idea of reaching our destination, no matter how slow your steps are. I see you as a very good artist. Goodluck.
I couldn't agree more. Even their awkward movement makes them quite unique and lovable.
Thanks for reading through.
What a beautiful "black" bird. An amazing picture you have drawn there but more amazing is definitely the owner of the colour pen 😁
All the very best dear.
Penguins are one of the animals featured in cartoon because of their cartoon like characters. They don't give up moving despite their slow nature. This shows their resilience attitude. Thanks for the invite
