How important is Punctuality to you?

You are to be present at a certain function or gathering of some sort by 10:00am, keeping that in mind, you got ready and by 9:55am you were already seated or already at the venue of the said function, that's punctuality.

Punctuality goes beyond being on time, it essentially involves respecting other people's time as well as their efforts.

Punctuality is a trait or an etiquette which encourages us to acknowledge the importance of time hence, making it on time on time for anything that requires our presence.

Punctuality being a very essentially aspect of life and leaving has the following importance;

1. Shows discipline and Organization; being punctual in whatever you do communicates the idea of discipline and organisation as an organized life is always on track and on time.
   On the other hand, a person is is always late or who can't meet deadlines is automatically perceive as unorganized or indisciplined.

2. Shows your degree of Reliability; getting to a place on or before the agreed time tells people that you can be depended upon in bigger task to make and stick with important decisions.

3. Shows you respect people; making it on time for an agreed meeting or function gets it done quickly and this in turn shows that you respect and value for others people's time as well as yours.

4. Punctuality builds trust; constant punctuality makes people to trust you more. This trust can in most cases, lead to stronger and beneficial relationships.

5. Stress avoidance and increased productivity; the act of being punctual for anything gives you time to relax and follow up with whatever is being done and contribute meaningful.
   Being late on the other hand brings about frustration, lost focus, cluelessness, which could all amount to stress and less productivity.

I certainly believe the above expression is true but I also believe they are some exceptions to it.
This expression basically stresses the benefit of being punctual (... gets the worm). In as much as I believe this is very true as in the case of going early for a class and getting a good seat or purchasing your items early at a cheaper rate, I also believe they are exceptions where even those who aren't punctual gets the benefit as well.

In all, the expression stands and it's certainly a good way of reminding us that punctuality pays.

"It's better late than never", this saying generally means it is better you do what you want to do even if it's late than not doing it at all.

Considering the many instances where it has proven to be right, I agree with the say. Some of this instances could be seen in submitting a lecturer's assignment where it is preferable to submit late than not submitting at all.

Also, success comes with deciding to not give up no matter the situation even if it's lateness. Instead of giving up and going with never, you learn keep trying against all odds including lateness so that even if you miss, you'll land among the stars!

In conclusion, punctuality as earlier stated is an important aspect of life and as such, we should always aim for that in all we do
