CONTEST: The Importance Of Having A Good Name.
INTRODUCTION
A good name is one of those things which I know can't be patronized unjustly except scrutunized and proven to be merited.
A good name in this context is far beyond our parent given name from birth but is that aura attached to it, it is what comes to the mind of people when our names are being mentioned.
What Do You Think Makes A Name Valuable And Important?
I think what makes a name valuable and important Is that person's unique personality. It is the good remarks or response that comes from people when such name is being mentioned.
Do You Believe That A Person's Reputation Is More Valuable Than Material Wealth? Why or Why Not?
A good reputation strengthens both personal and formal bonds because of the trust and sincerity that has been built thereby paving way for wealth. But material wealth rarely pave way for a good reputation because power is intoxicating, except one chooses to put the wealth into good use before he can earn a good name.
In Your Opinion, What Qualities Or Characteristics Contribute To Building A Good Name For Oneself?
How Do You Think Having A Good Name Can Positively Impact Personal Relationships and Professional Opportunities
A good name can positively impact personal relationship as it kindles trust, love and honesty among those involved. It also have an impact on professional opportunities as a good name is the goodwill of any company and obviously everyone enjoys working with a company of high reputation and standards as accountability, reliability and morale boosting is always the goal.
Do You Believe That A Good Name Is Something That Can Be Inherited Or Passed Down Through Generations?
In as much as the legacy of a person with a good name might live on after his death and his family gets to benefit in one way or the other from his good deeds, I still think a good name can't be inherited or passed down through generations because a good name is an individual and not a collective body unique qualities or characters. It is a one man for himself thing.
In Conclusion
It is important to note that our birth given name Is just a vessel which the content expected is what attributes the good or bad name/reputation.
With a good reputation, you can easily get people to be on your side without having to force them unlike trying to use material wealth to influence people's opinion about you as they are being put in a state of fear.
