Good day wonderful steemians, hope we are all doing well and streaming greatly. It's a new month and I warmly wish you the best for the rest of the month.
However, if you listened to your radio carefully, today marks a special day for all workers and in most countries, a public holiday is observed.
Why do workers celebrate their day? |

Production of goods or rendering of services can never happen without the workers. All other factors of production severely depends on the workers. The celebration of workers day can be traced to the 19th century when a group of workers banded together to make their decisions known to the government. Since then, 1st May has been set aside to commemorate this day. A day where workers spake in one voice concerning a situation that affects their welfare as workers.

Workers Day is simply a day set aside to remember all patriotic workers around the globe. It's the celebration of how the world has developed through the hands of workers. In my country Nigeria, an elaborate but colourful event is held, where workers of different ministries and parastatals as well as unions, trade groups and different workers from all walks of life come together, perform a march past, solidarity songs as well as entertaining and educative shows. Prizes and awards are also given to those who deserve it. It is always a fun-filled day and exciting day.
Should Steemians have a special day set aside to celebrate, When and How? |

Well, we steemians are workers too as we give satisfaction to the general public. A workers day as decided by the coordinators should be held. On this day, views on how we can improve steemit platform should be made open by all communities, and rewards should given to quality suggestions. A speech from the various steemcurators should be published in every community. This will serve as an encouragement to serve the public better.
What should we do on Workers' Day? |

During Workers day we should do well to support/encourage all the workers we know have really contributed to the society and world at large . This would motivate them to do more
As an employer of labor you can go further by creating a party for your workers. They really deserve it.
