Hi there,
Good evening and happy new week my beautiful people, it's your girl @tripple-e and I trust you all are doing great.

Thank you @steem4nigeria for this week 35 accelerator contest on the topic "Dealing with Emotions".

Emotions has the power to drive our actions whether in a negative or positive way and this is what fuel our journey through life.
That's why I love this quote from Maya Angelou which says:

"The only reason we get through life is because we believe in something bigger than ourselves "

I understand Emotions to be those complex mix of psychological changes that happens either in our thoughts, or our behavioral responses. And anytime we experience emotions of any kind, there's a reaction in our body that leads to increase in our heart beat, there's this sensation that would cause us to start sweating and worse is that if we start to remember the situation; this can result in yelling or crying. This is referred to as catharsis meaning purging or release of emotions.

As we either yell or cry, you would notice a relief that would relaxes your mind and body and can even cause you to fall into a deep sleep.

According to Paul Ekman; there are six basic emotions which includes:
Happiness
Fear
Anger
Sadness
Surprise and
Disgust

Yes. I almost experienced all the six basic of emotions when my mother died 3 years ago. I was surprised at first, I didn't believe that my beloved mum was actually dead even up till now it's as if she traveled that she will return someday. But when I looked at her lying straight on the bed; all of a sudden fear gripped me, then it dawn on me that my mother was dead. Then sadness engulfed and overwhelmed me, I cried,I yelled till I almost lost my mind, I became hopeless in life nothing mattered to me again; then suddenly I became very angry I began to ask questions both from people and from God, demanding why my mother died but nobody seems to know answers to any of my questions. I was lost in my fury; but I'm grateful to God that I am way more better today and I can even offer consolation to people who are bereaved.

👉Explain 5 ways to deal with emotions.

1: First is for you to identify your emotions, asses yourself about how you are feeling. Are you happy, frustrated,sad? Or you are feeling something you don't understand. It's okay to feel the way you do.

2: After identifying, you accept what you feel, whether positive or negative instead of bottling them up which can become worse just allow yourself to feel your emotions but don't stay there for too long.

3: In order to manage emotional responses; practice mindfulness by focusing on the present. Carrying out activity like medication can help you become aware of what you are thinking.

4: You can deal with emotions by talking to a trusted friend or you can express your emotions through music, art(drawing) etc.

5: By eating healthy food, getting enough sleep and exercising regularly, these habits can help reduce your stress level and also improve your overall well being. The emphasis is: please take care of yourself.

My answers are in two ways:

Yes. Emotions can either someone from achieving their dreams and can also be a powerful force.

Hindrances

• Fear: Someone can have the of the unknown, fear of failure and even fear of rejection can make someone not to achieve his/her dreams.

• Another hindrance is you doubt on your ability, self-doubt can make one looses confidence not believing that he/she has the capacity to succeed in life.

• Don't let discouragement and setbacks makes you to loose focus, thereby causing you to give up easily.

Emotions as a powerful force

• Emotion like passion can fuel your determination and drive by making you excited to also want to try.

• Do you know you can channel emotion like anger and frustration into motivation to overcome any barrier.

• For instance: Emotion like hope can make you bounce back from life's situations.

In conclusion:

The aim of all these is to be aware and identify your emotions thereby finding healthy ways to manage your emotions.

Emotions is what we feel everyday in our life,it can be negative or positive feelings, your post is really amazing and insteresting truly.we should always control our emotions.When we are not able to control our emotions, we commit such mistakes as big sins that we can never redeem again in life in case of negative response
