My country the Giant of Africa
My dear country set on the petals of greatness
My beloved country, the home of natural resources
If only the gullible would let you express your potentials
If only they would let you stand tall and showcase your greatness and power
Oh Nigeria my dearest country
I can't love you less no matter what.......♥️♥️

Nigeria is a nation located on the west coast of Africa sharing boundaries with the Gulf of Guinea, it is a country blooming with rich cultures, large expanse of landscape and vibrants welcoming people. My country Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa with a population of over 228 million people, her large population birthed over 250 ethnic groups and 500 different spoken languages. With the three most largest group which are; Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo and each of them are blessed with their rich cultural heritage. And we are also known for our hospitality, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit. What a great country!

My country Nigeria gained her independence on 1st October 1960 from the British rule.
Call us the "melting pot of influences; ranging from our music, arts, rich cuisine and even our film industry which top second largest in the world.
Nigeria has the most largest economy in Africa, that is driven by production of oil and agriculture.

👉What is/are the mineral resources your country is blessed with?

Pictures of Limestones and Rock salt

Those are some of the mineral resources in my country

My country is blessed with a lot of mineral resources such as:-

• Petroleum/ Natural gas.
How can we own petroleum and then we are lacking petroleum. Who does this to us?(never mind, that was an rhetorical question).

• we have Coal

• Bitumen

• There's Iron Ore

• Gold

• Lead/Zinc

• Talc

• Gypsum

•Gemstones

• Bentonites and baryte

• Rock salt

• Limestone

• Kaolin

My people my hand is paining me to type all our natural resources, they are too numerous to mention. And I ask again, who did we offend?. My dear you can choose to ask, not that it will change anything but I'm positive sha.😀😀

👉Has these mineral resources been fully harnessed?

Because of the greedy and selfish nature of man, these mineral resources has been over harnessed in my country. Because of quest for power and fame, wanting to be in control, some of the greedy folks went and leverage on politics in pretence to serve the people but they end up en-massing wealth that they don't really need leaving the poor masses helpless and in abject poverty. Whereas if these were well managed and distributed, life wouldn't be so hard in my country and crimes wouldn't also be order of the day.

👉Has the proceeds from these resources been used properly by your government for the welfare of her citizens..... support your answer (Yes/No) with good points.

Well... It is what it is, it is very glaring how my country economy has gone really south. So I see no need for me trying to defend it when there's nothing really there to defend. Nigeria is a good country but it is her leaders that are bad and gullible(I will continue to uphold the reputation of my beloved country).
So I will say NO, that the proceeds from these mineral resources has not been of any benefits to the masses, instead we are eating from the crumbs. But I am positive that one day, Nigeria would live to her name as the "giant of Africa". That's my/ our Ernest prayers. So help us God.

Thank you so much, @tripple-e, for sharing this wonderful overview of the Giant of Africa. Your passionately detailed description highlights the immense potential of this country and strengthens the admiration for its resources and culture. I share the hope that, thanks to new generations, we can move towards a more democratic society, where resources are managed fairly for the well-being of all. I enthusiastically accept the Steem4Nigeria challenge and look forward to contributing my part

With the lists of Mineral Resources we have in Nigeria, if our government can make them valuable as Petroleum and gas Nigeria will become a rich country. I wish you best of luck.

Exactly my friend but we are hopeful and praying for a better Nigeria. Thank you

So I will say NO, that the proceeds from these mineral resources has not been of any benefits to the masses, instead we are eating from the crumbs. But I am positive that one day, Nigeria would live to her name as the "giant of Africa". That's my/ our Ernest prayers. So help us God.

Nigeria is a great nation with a great people full of strength and wisdom.

A nation blessed with different kinds of mineral and resources. But the leaders have made you fall making you look like something with out value.

Sukses teman🎊

Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, shines with cultural diversity and abundant mineral resources. Its large population of over 228 million encompasses 250 ethnic groups fostering resilience and hospitality. Despite rich resources mismanagement hinders equitable benefits for citizens. Prayers persist for a brighter future and responsible governance. Kudos to @tripple-e for sharing insights.
