BAD BREATH
Hi guys, good morning how are you and how is your day getting on? today i will be convesating on bad breath, which is medically know as "halitosis".
halitosis which is generally known as mouth odor is a common problem that most people face, it generates either from the mouth or the throat but the most fascinating part of it Is that, it is relatively easy to remedy or curb.
Do you have bad breath or do you know of someone that has breath?
Reasonably, having bad breath once in a while is not bad but the continuous or constant awful smell will lead to mouth odor which can cause embarrassment, anxiety, and lack of confidence.
Poor oral care:- in most cases bad breath is caused by poor dental hygiene, lack of proper hygiene can lead to halitosis due to food particles that remained in the mouth, and this can round up bacteria.
Alcohol:- the more you drink alcohol the more you are probable to get a mouth odor, Course it decreases the production of saliva, and whenever the mouth is dry it serves as a means for mouth odor to grow and develop.
Smoking:- smoking any kind of tobacco will lead to halitosis as well as serious health problems, smoking not only give bad breath but also causes serious issues to gum tissues.
Dry Mouth:- lack of saliva also leads to bad breath, saliva helps to clean up food particles.
Eating strong odored food or coffee:- this is important for those who love drinking coffee or are addicted to coffee. Coffee affects the production of saliva which can also lead to a dry mouth, and as I mentioned earlier, a dry mouth is another cause of bad breath.
•strong odored foods like garlic, onion, and ginger can also lead to mouth odor.
yes! Mouth odor can be cured if only you can heed these few procedures.
Brush regularly:- brush at least twice a day, rinse your mouth regularly and also make sure you scrap your tongue with your toothbrush.
Avoid strong odored foods:- make sure you avert from foods that can spoil or sour your breath.
Say no to tobacco:- aside from others' health issues caused by tobacco it also defects your gum and gives bad breath.
Drink a lot of water:- as I said earlier in my last post water helps to moisten the mouth and the body as a whole, it assists in generating saliva which helps to fight bacteria.
Go for a dental check-up:- most people don't care for their teeth until it starts decaying or start to bring out a bad smell. going for regular checkups will help to detect already built-up bacteria and can also get at a means to remedy it.
Rinse your mouth before going to bed:- this is so vital to health and most especially the mouth. Don't go to bed after a long day without flossing your mouth.
thank you for reading, and don't forget your health is my concern
