OPPORTUNITY COMES BUT ONCE
As they say but is it really true? That's the essence of this contest and hence the reason for this write up.
Opportunity
This word tends to be complex or abstract in some way but it's not. Opportunity has lots of meaning depending on the circumstance or situation. It means a chance or favourable time to take advantage of something or a situation as the case may be. It also spans from the perfect time to do something or for advancements, progress and development.
How do i perceive opportunity?
in another word _chance. it is a chance as said, to make an advancement to a desired level of attainment. But the question is, does it come once?, does it take one chance for us to move from one level to the other?
Or is this just a statement to strike fear into our heart, to help us avoid missing this opportunities as they come?
My take
Observing times and events as they unfold, it shows that we have various opportunities that is the spice of life. Remember that it is also said that if one door closes another one opens, what does that go to say? It means that if we miss one opportunity that we will get another, that's what keeps life moving, if not life would be uninteresting.
So opportunities doesn't come once but one thing we can take on from here should be that, a certain chance missed will not repeat itself, how? Remember that it is also said that lightning does not strike the same place twice.
Meaning we should not expect the same opportunity twice, once it is missed, we should expect a different door of opportunity.
With this been said, opportunities will always come but an opportunity missed should be expected in a different form so hence the law of variety.
For example we can have another opportunity to write on a steemit contest but it will not be on this same topic, since it's been addressed, even if it happens to be on this same topic, maybe because of how much traffic it caused, it won't come in the same format as this, some requirements will be added or less. Proving the fact that change is constant.
The statement opportunity comes but once can not be misleading because it helps us not to be complaisant when it comes to the chances that comes our way but to be alert and grab this opportunities. Not withstanding that it is not a statement of fact, we still have the will to choose between our chances to take which best suits us.
So do opportunity come but once?

You know the saying, opportunity comes but once has made a lot of people get into what they later regret because they think they wouldn't get such an opportunity again, forgetting that when one door closes, another will open.
Yes, we always have the will to decide. not all doors lead to our desired destination so we need to first of all know what we want so that when the opportunities come we'll know which to grab.
