THE OUTCOME OF THE MEET UP WITH STEEMIANS

Hello to everyone in this wonderful community and also in this platform at large. I greet you all in oneness and I want to believe that we all are in sound health.

Today, I will be talking about the meeting that was hosted my @goodybest which was titled "A meet up with steemians in uyo". The meeting was not limited to just steemians residing in Uyo but also, other steemians from around the country and beyond also got to join in the conversation.

STEMIANS PRESENT AT THE MEETING

We had the various admins of steem4nigeria present such as, @ngoenyi, @simonnwigwe, and @goodybest. We equally had a reputable user from Cameroon known as @chiabertrand in the meeting via discord channel.

Other users such as @ruthjoe, @badmus-official, @okere-blessing, @manuelhooks, @barnsbarnabie and @benton3 were also present at the meeting too.

City coordinators like myself, @josepha, @starchris, and @jueco were also present in the meeting via discord video other users had network problems and it was kind of difficult to see them nor hear them via discord video.

RELEVANT ISSUES THAT WERE DISCUSSED

The promotion and creating awareness of the steemit platform became a call of duty to all users in the platform and as such, the topic was brought forward by our host known as @goodybest.

After she laid down the agenda of our meeting, we then started by making valuable suggestions starting with the first topic on how to create awareness and promote the steemit platform.

Suggestions were made, and we came up with a notable conclusion of making an official Steemit Facebook Page in other to boost the visibility and awareness of the steemit platform so as to promote it to a greater extent.

This idea was seconded by @chaibertrand, he made a notable point that it is much better to create just a Facebook page of the steemit platform so that everyone can join and invite friends and family to join the page.

He also added that it is better to create just a page so that the idea will not be jeopardized and not to confuse or give other people a wrong impression about the platform if many pages were to be created.

And so we agreed on creating just a page for it here in Nigeria. This was said to be the first step in creating awareness of the platform and after which, we will extend our tentacles to other social media platforms, such as the instagram and YouTube.

Secondly @ngoenyi encouraged us to often vote for witnesses as they are responsible for the validation of every transactions regarding to steem, be it an incoming transaction or an out going transaction. The witnesses also help to protect the blockchain so well and it is a vital thing to vote for witnesses.

@benton3, and also @badmus-official also contributed regarding the voting for witnesses and we all agreed to the fact and have decided to often vote for witnesses.

THE OUTCOME OF THE MEETING

The meeting came to an end, leaving me the portfolio of creating a Facebook page and a group for interaction. I quickly have at it and here is the first outcome of our meeting.

I managed to log on to Facebook and then I created an official Facebook page with the username Steem4Nigeria in other to pass vital information and awareness about the steemit platform to the public and here is the link to the Facebook page Steem4Nigeria Page.

I equally made a Facebook conversation group where we can share vital information and interact with each other, get to meet more users and also sign them up if possible. So all of these were achieved on the account of the meeting.

We started with 0 followers but now the numbers of followers has added up.

We are gradually making this awareness a success and henceforth, we will regularly update the platform about the success of the Steem4Nigeria Facebook page. And here is the link to the group chat Steem4Nigeria group chat.

This is a call for creating awareness of the steemit platform in all countries, with this, the steemit platform will be known greatly and as such, we should all engage in creating awareness of the steemit platform in our respective communities and countries per say.
