Who said everyone cannot be a writer?
Who said your story isn’t valid?
Who said your story must be high sounding and perfect?
Who said you must attend a specific high level of education before writing?
YOU CAN WRITE, EVERYONE SHOULD WRITE, YES THEY SHOULD!!!
Do you have an interest in writing?
Do you admire some good writers and wished you could be like them?
Would you love to develop your writing skills and make it more appealing?
If you give an affirmative to the above, then this will be a good read!!!
To begin, it's pertinent to briefly understand the art of writing.
The art of writing is the craft of creating written works that are clear, engaging, and effective in communicating a message to readers. Whether you are writing a novel, a blog post, a report, or a letter, the principles of good writing are universal.
At this point, before we proceed, i'll love to take few seconds to appreciate some very good writers on the steemit platform, the likes of @ubongudofot, @kay-owobia, @wilmer1988, @eliany, @goodybest and many even though not mentioned here are doing a great job in the creative writing space. I took my time to read a lot of their good write-ups, paid attention to the details, tone and language they used. Their messages are always clear, understandable and relate to me and the world around me and yea, they know how to grab a reader’s attention. Their writing voice is always so engaging and approachable while using the right word for the right moment. Thank you for the good job so far, I look forward to learning more from your individual blogs. HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WRITERS DAY!!!
Writing is an essential skill for success in many areas of life, including academia, business, and personal communication. It can help improve critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Writing is not just about the words. It also involves editing, revising, and proofreading to ensure that the final product is polished and error free.
Many people use writing as a form of therapy to help them process their emotions and experiences.
This article will now focus on some common challenges writers encounter and the possible way out or call it remedy.
Here are some tips I found helpful and I'd love to share.
📌If you ever find it hard to come up with an idea or feel stuck on what to write, take a break and do something else or try a different writing exercise. Do some freestyle writing and brainstorm when you're relaxed.
📌If you find it challenging to find the time to write regularly, maybe because of work or a busy schedule, create a routine and set out time for writing. You can use a timer, stopwatch and the likes to help you keep track of time.
📌Give yourself time between writing and editing to have a better perspective. Ask for comments and contributions from other writers.
📌Have a deep understanding of vocabulary and language. Use the dictionary to practice writing exercises.
📌You may struggle with self doubt or insecurity, focus on the process not the outcome. Allow yourself to make mistakes and seek support from other writers.
📌Make research and have all the facts from trusted and reliable sources, your audience will have confidence in you.
📌You are criticized and rejected? Take it as an opportunity to grow and learn. When your work is rejected, keep pushing till it's done.
📌Set realistic goals and embrace imperfections as a process of living and Keep making continuous improvement.
In all respect, I'll stand with chimamanda Ngozi Adichie who said "that everyone should be a writer"
Keep expressing that intelligent thoughts, findings, research, what a view, for you do not know who you're motivating or lifting off burdens and pains.
Yes, you don't know who you are encouraging or inciting to more beautiful write ups.
