Steemit Engagement Challenge S2W2 | Steem4Nigeria Contest | No place like home: Tell us why you prefer your country to any other country
I feel proud of my country Cameroon with its vast history, culture, unity in diversity, presently a promising to be a lead country in Africa, reason why Cameroon is often refer to as "Africa in miniature". My country Cameroon is called so because of both its cultural diversity and geographical diversity.
Cameroon being a West African country has a total population of about 26 million people, with enough cultural and natural resource which makes it a place to be or to visit. In addition to this, about 250 languages are spoken in Cameroon which i happen to know just 7 of these languages. Some of these languages used are mostly indigenous languages, which are spoken by diverse tribes in Cameroon, even though english and french, however are the official languages here in Cameroon, reason why Cameroon is also a bilingual country.
As a football fan that i am, i'd like to also share about the football history of my Country. In my own understanding, i think Cameroon secondly dominates sports in Africa, characterized which a large number of armature football clubs and of course professional once too. The football national team popularly known as "The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon" is one of Africa's successful football team, as Cameroon happens to be the second country who has lift the African cup of nations, and our national team happens to be the only African country who has made the most appearance in FIFA World cup tournament, and recently, Cameroon was privilege to host AFCON 2021, of which the country grabbed the bronze medal in the tournament.
What great things interest me about my country?
Among many other things, i'd share the top 5 things that interest my in Cameroon.
Firstly, is the religion/belief :
Mount Cameroon:
Lovely sightseeing Museums.
Lovely Unique beaches.
Things i'd prefer my country for, over other countries.
I have never moved out of Cameroon, such that i'd compare with other countries but i have read from articles and books about other countries, talk with friends of mine who left Cameroon to other countries.
What ever i'd be saying here, it will therefore be based on all these, and not like i have been to other countries before.
Firstly life is easy going in Cameroon with different varieties of food which are equally affordable, in addition to its diverse culture. We are very generous and hospitable and the extended family structure here serve as a good welcoming attitude to those visiting.
The interest we have in our local culture and tradition, they way we do it, especially at the end of every year whereby many villages usually have their annual festivals and celebration for the newyear. Due to this, i would rather prefer to always spend my christmas holidays in the village because of this festival.
The love for our local food, as i can remember how some of my cousins out of the country would always tell my mom to find out if someone is coming or travelling where they are so she can send some of our local food to them through that person.
No Place like home: If I eventually leave Cameroon in search of greener pastures, would i come back
I don't feel like i really need to talk much on this, but my answer is yes. If eventually i one day leave this country, i am definitely coming back, "BECAUSE THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME".
HOME IS HOME
I'd therefor take this opportunity to invite my fellow country men to tell the entire steemit community why would always be home for them. @fombae @majerius @wase1234 @tjean

Cameroon is a blessed country mostly especially as it still stands out to be the only Bilingual Country with two official World's spoken languages which are English and French. Again, it's has a diversity of animals, species, has good attractive areas such as beautiful beaches in limbe and Kribi. Camera also has one of the most tallest mountain in Africa which is mount Cameroon and it's located in Buea
I'm am so much proud to be a Cameroonian
