Mary slessor was born on 2 December 1848 an Scottish missionary who dedicated her life by improving the life of the local people and spreading Christianity to the people.
Mary slessor was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, into a poor working-class family. She grew up in a difficult environment, witnessing the struggles lifetime of poverty and alcoholism. Despite these challenges, she developed a strong faith and a desire to help others.

In 1876, Mary Slessor joined the United Presbyterian Church and develop her interest in becoming a missionary. She was eventually sent to Calabar, a region in southeastern Nigeria, which was known for its dangerous and hostile environment. But she didn't care how rough the environment is until when she arrive to Calabar at the moment she face many challenges, she had to adapt to the local customs interesting to learn and understand the Efik language.
Mary slessor quickly gain respect and trust to others local people through dedication and of compassion, she now become known in many aspects as fearlessness and willingness to interview the confidence she had in spreading the truth, she was also the queen of peace maker helping to resolved conflicts and prevent violent,

She contribute and work for the fight of killing of twins, Mary slessor end the killing of twins in the local culture belief, in their local cultural belief twins where considered as evil and was abandon and killed at birth, Mary slessor fight against the practice and finally stop The killing of twins and take those children as her own children.
Mary slessor also work in the establishment of schools, churches and medical clinic centre in the area to improve the life of people in the are in terms of education and growth of the local people's . Her effort impact on the region and she still reverse as the Hero in Nigeria today.
Mary slessor work in Nigeria and earned international recognition ,award and honor for her humanitarian work effort, including of the St John of Jerusalem.

Mary Slessor passed away in 1915, but her legacy lives on. She is remembered as a courageous and compassionate missionary who dedicated her life to helping others and making a difference in the world.
