My Personal Opinion about the movie Battle on Buka street

Guys let me start by telling you all that this movie is a must watch!.. Battle on Buka street relates to what we see in most Nigerian families.

Just the name of the movie gives you a clue on what to expect in this movie. Growing up as a child, I had some friends we all played together and if one friend offends me, I will tell the other friends not to play with them and they would all stay away from that friend that offended me. But guess what? This is so childish.

But as childish as it is, we see this scenario playing it out in families, where hatred, war and fights are inherited by children from their parents. This is exactly what you would see in this movie. A man married many wives and this brought about competition and fights between the wives and they passed it on to their children and so the battle continues...

This movie teaches many lessons and also reminded me of childhood where I constantly witnessed street fights and quarrels from neighbors. We have the likes of mercy Johnson and Funke Akindele in battle inherited by their mothers Sola Sobowale and Tina Mba.

Moving forward I love the combinations of actors in this movie. I was happy to see Nkem owoh popular known as osuofia in this movie playing the role of the man who has many wives. He loved women and good food hence he married them from different tribes. Hahah

There is no pleasure in division and in disunity. Infact peace is always absent in such environment. Humility, respect for each other is always the best way forward. No need for that fighting, competition, anger and hatred. Forgive that person, that brother, that neighbor why? Because you need it more.

Battle on Buka street is generally a comic movie but has several lessons to learn from. I really wish many people watching this movie will look beyond the movie and see the lessons in it.

My Personal Rating on the movie Battle on Buka street

Wow!! I always know that Funke Akindele movies are always a must watch for me and this time she didn't fail me.

Buka street brought to view the major 3 language of Nigeria represented in the movie( Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba) and for me this shows unity.

I also see amazing costume usage in this movie with both a touch of epic and modern fashion and blend. Not forgetting the great locations choice seen in this movie.

Although I feel the end of this movie I wanted more actions but it was cut short, maybe they were working with time.

I give the Directors, producer and all the actors kudos for a job well done. This brings me to my general grading of the movie Buka street. I give them 9/10. I hope you like my score?

Conclusion

I truly enjoyed myself in movie highlight today and guess what? My popcorn 🍿 was by my side.
