6 Things loyalty will not do!!
What's your view on loyalty in friendship? Some one may ask. I have always believed in loyalty wether at a place of work, in family or in friendship. Once someone called me a loyalist because I refused to play by his own rule. He said I was too loyal to a fault I just laughed.
Loyalty from my opinion can be described as steadfast commitment, dedication, and faithfulness to a person, group, cause, or principle. Loyalty simply means standing and defending a person you believe in, and acting in ways to defend such bond. Showing Loyalty doesn't mean that the one you defend is always right no, it is just an appearance put up in public to show where your allegiance lies. In friendship , family, and in colorate organisations loyalty is demanded. Today you notice that most people are no longer loyal to what they share or believe in. Loyalty teaches you not to lie. Loyalty teaches you support. When you are loyal to your family and friends you won't lie to them. One of the things I personally do not like or tolerate lies. Over the years I have encountered people who lied to me, people who pretended to be loyal but at my back they back stabbed me and made gest of me. Infact one time someone boosted saying to me, this person in your life is not as good as you think, she is not as loyal as you are to her. I didn't believe it but guess what? I found at it was true after all..
A person who is loyal will never intentionally betray your trust. Trust is a very scarce commodity. Not many can be trusted. A person who is loyal to you will always keep that bond of trust. Only loyal people can be trusted.
When they make promises to you, they keep their words. Whatever they say they would do, they get it done. They don't forget what they say.
Some one who is loyal will not talk against you in secret. In secret here simply means when you are not presently there. I have observed that they are so called friends who talk against their friends at their back. Have you also seen staff talking against their organization or boss but when they come to work they pretend to love their boss? Oh I have encountered this type of people in my life. A loyal person defends you in your absence This point got me thinking lately. A person who is loyal to you will always defend your honour in your absence. You need to see how I talk about my friends in their absence. I talk about them in way that if you don't know them, you will just want to meet them. I talk highly of them. I make them seem perfect before people. You can never catch me talking against the flaws of my friends. Once someone, approached me making some assumptions about a particular friend of mine, you needed to see the way I attached the statement made, I defended my friend so much so that this person got upset. That's loyalty. Even when you see someone talking against your family or friend you don't join them neither should you keep shut, because keeping lshut means you are in support. Shows you respect They respect your opinions and would never be caught saying things at your back that they can't say in your front. And they can not trade you for money, influence or anything. Loyal friends will never Use you: Lately am more careful with people I call my friends because I discovered that many people just want to use you. They are just momentarily there in your life because of what they gain or will gain. They don't genuinely love you. Once they finally get what they want, you will find your self in a bin trash Loyal friends genuinely care about how you feel In every case. I noticed that people who like to use others actually know what they are doing. A disloyal people is like a cheat and guess what? Once a person is disloyal it is difficult to become loyal again. Loyalty is first a thing of the heart before it becomes an action. In marriage, couples are expected to be loyal to each other. Someone is loyal remains so even in difficult seasons. I have some loyal friends in my life which I am grateful for, I have had disloyal friends too. Guess what? The cure for disloyalty is to cut off from them else you will continue to get hurt. Trust grows where there is loyalty. In organization your loyalty is seen when you are dedicated to your work, respectful and deligence to task given. Loyalty refects the kind of character a person has. It shows you if that person is good or bad!
When loyalty is present there are things it births. I call it the goodies of loyalty or the proceeds of loyalty.
When both parties are loyal to each other trust is built. It becomes so easy to trust people that are loyal to you. In organization the most trusted people are those who have demonstrated proven loyalty.
Any where you see loyalty you must see unity. People easily get bonded when their is loyalty. No more clashes and too much disagreement.
People become safe or feel safe around those they feel are loyal to them. For instance I have this particular friend I can say anything to and feel safe about it. The things I can only share with the HolySpirit I find my self sharing with this friend because I feel safe. |
