RE: Steem4Nigeria Engagement Challenge [S2W4] - My dream about steem/steemit in my country - By @solexybaba

which we all know as the Ponzi scheme and as such people are now caution and care when it comes to online businesses and this is a strong reason why the steemit platform is not so popular.

Is sad, this online businesses have really ruined the zeal people have for online stuff. And this is the main course most Africans are cautious when a new business is introduced to them and they find out it’s an online something.

Nigerians especially the youth are kind of lazy, they do not want to work

This is actually the case in Ghana here, I’ve had my friends saying that being on steemit is another hustle on its own and thinking of something to write everyday is a problem to them hence they will prefer not to stress themselves. I’ve had some join because they thought it was easy at first but they immediately run away because they complain of not knowing what to write.

We can also make use of the newspaper to promote the steemit platform

Yes, publicity on newspapers can actually get the older generation to join steemit. We have people who still lay interest in the physical news paper thus this is a good point. But I doubt this can actually catch the attention of the younger generation 😂. We always tend to the internet first when we want information.

We can also promote the steemit platform in our various schools

Yes, this can actually help you know . In Africa children are not allowed to use phones in schools, but we can get high school students on it. When they are about writing their finals exams(wassce) we can actually promote it to them as something they can be doing whiles waiting for their results and I bet you people will like it cause it won’t make them idle.
