Hello everyone, good evening to you all. Hope your day went as planned?
Today, I will be reporting the recent incidence happening in my neighborhood.
Currently, school is not in session. As a result of this, most students went back to their various homes, especially students staying in hostel. As a result of this, the school environment has been deserted.
Vacating the Hostel
Currently, the dean of the Students Affair asked all the students staying in the Hostel to vacant the Hostel for fumigation exercise. These particular act affected so many final year students including myself. After writing several letters to him by final year students, he allocated one hostel to us, on the condition that we must first of all get an approved letter, signed and stamped from our Head of Department stating that we are final year students.
As if that is not enough, on Tuesday, we were asked to move to another hostel. It was quite annoying and frustrating moving from one hostel to the other with your luggages. The first picture shows students moving their luggages, and the second picture shows students waiting to meet the dean of students affairs.
Final year project work
Most final year students including myself are still in school writing their project and doing their Lab work. We were supposed to finish this project before the school vacant for the semester but we couldn't because the semester was very short. The semester is short because the school is trying to get back to the normal academy calendar which was affected by so Strike and COVID-19 lockdown.
This is a picture of my colleagues working in the Lab for our research work. We are working on finding the tolerance of some bacteria (Pseudomonas, Providencia and Bacillus)to heavy metals and their effects during crude oil degradation.
These are the recent happenings in my neighborhood.
