Port Harcourt, which is the capital city of Rivers State, Nigeria is my beloved city. It is located in the Niger Delta area of the South South region of Nigeria, along bonny river. It is regarded as the 3rd most developed city in Nigeria after Lagos and Abuja. It is the largest, most populated city in Rivers State, and it is often called PH city or Garden city.

Port Harcourt city is a great place to explore, full of energy and enthusiasm. I find the city absolutely charming with so many beautiful structures put in place for everyone. The city offers a vibrant cultural mixture of music, art, dance and food in its many sites and activities.

Unlike other cities, Port Harcourt city is the center of the Nigerian oil economy, which is a Major raw material for exportation in the country. It is the hub of oil business here in nigeria with large numbers of multinational firms and industries. There are also significant number of markets for trading activities such as the Ikoku spare parts market, the oil mill market and Rumuokoro market.

One popular delicacy peculiar to the city of port Harcourt is Bole. This lip smacking combination which is often a mixture of roasted plantain and fish, is something you definitely don't want to miss while travelling through the city. Also Nkwobi and Abacha, usually called African salad, are some of the many local delicacies and dishes available to the people of Port Harcourt.
