As the saying goes,"it takes a village to raise a child", is completely true when dealing with shaping the next generation. The community plays a crucial role in influencing the behavioral character of a child. This is done by providing support and guidance, that will help nurture this younger generation, and guide them on the right part.
A child's growth is not only influenced by the family, but also by the community. It is said that a child learns from the environment they live in. As they learn, the environment impacts their process of development and growth. For this cause, communities are being given the responsibility of creating a healthy and conducive environment for a child's learning and development.

Growing up with my parents was really a blessing to me. I'll put it as one of the best thing that has ever happened to me. My parents were employees living averagely. They tried their best, and did a really good job in nurturing me from the very minute i stepped into this world. My parents influenced me positively. Growing up, they highly esteemed decipline, and made sure i was of good behavior at all times. They thought me love, respect, perseverance and resilience. This life quality shaped me, and is also keeping me going till this very moment.

As said earlier, communities plays a crucial role in a child's growth and development. Nowadays, it seems difficult in finding a group of people, who are kind hearted and willing to dedicate their time and resources in fostering growth and development. Sincerely speaking and too sad to say, but my community doesn't put effort in helping and fostering development in children. We leave in a world where the struggle to survive is tough. This has made each collective individual of a community, focused on trying to meet ends for their self and their families. My Nigerian brothers and sisters can relate.
But not withstanding, we all in our various communities can make a difference and make development and growth in children possible. By each of our collective interest being put into action, anything is possible. This can be done by;

• Providing quality education for children, which will help them develop the knowledge and quality skills they'll need to succeed in life.
• Providing quality health care support for families, making it possible for everyone to stay happy and healthy.
• Properly cautioning immoral activities in the environment.

The Steemit platform is made up of communities. I personally see steemit as a breeding ground for knowledge. The steemit platform provides social support through the interaction between it's members with same interests, educational support through the collective knowledge shared by each members. The steemit community also fosters growth and development in children by welcoming all newcomers with open arms and rendering support for the first three months.

Yes!, children having a role model outside the family is very important because, it makes them learn about the world properly, and also helps them discover their interests and passion. In today's world, it makes them exposed to different lifestyles, cultures and experiences.

In a world where everyone embraces and work towards the idea of "it takes a village to raise a child," I positively believe that children would benefit from more opportunities, and they will also have more people in their lives, who will give them advice, guidance and support. I also think that this would have a positive impact on every community, and the world as a whole.
