Steem4nigeria Accelerator Contest Week 40: My Worst Highschool Experience.
Hello everyone,
It's your favorite Steemian @rakiya from Nigeria and I'm delighted to join in this contest organized by @steem4nigeria in this noble community today. It's a wonderful contest and I love to share my participation in it.
Give us a brief introduction of your school, the name, location and why it stands out in your location.
My school name is government girls secondary school Allushi. It is one of the girls secondary school located here in Akwanga a local government in Nasarawa State Nigeria. It is a girls school as the name has rightly suggest above.
It is an old School which has stand the test of time because a lot of persons have graduated from this same school as well. I'm happy to write about this school here today because they world needs to know about it.
Since it is a girls school, it is also a Borden school and we all live inside the school except for holidays. One thing that makes me like the school the most is the activities within the school.
In this school everytime has a schedule or has something you must be doing within that period. Hence once you enter the school, you must try to abide by all the rules and regulations of the school i.e doing all you have to to at the right time.
I have never seen a place so organised like my school. We have time for everything in the school and when it comes to performing any activities, we always do that in uniform.
This is what made the school to standout in the location. Everyone talks about the school but not all families are boyant enough to send their kids to the school. So those of us who are opportune to be in the school we always come out the best anytime we go for an event or presentation.
Share with us your worst high school experience.
When I got to the school newly, I never knew that I needed a school mother who will always guide and direct me on how to survive the Borden house. Going with my food stuff on that faithful day, I was blocked by some seniors and then some of the things I brought was collected from me and you can't even report the seniors.
When I enquired they said that is the standard because seniors are the representative of the teachers hence you can't even report them and if you do and they find out then they will make the school so hot for you.
I was pained that very day because I never had an idea of how the Borden house looks like. After that, I was asked to go and fetch water and fill a particular container which I took more than 3-4 hours to full. It was a terrible experience but its all part of the training we passed through.
Was there any lesson learnt, kindly share with us.
Yes the lesson I have learn from this was to always ask questions and make my research about a particular place before going to the place. If I had asked about the happening in the school I could have gone there more prepared and I could have known what to do.
So I have learn always to ensure that I make my enquires very well before embarking on any journey. This is the only way to be successful and not caught unaware in situations like my case.
I want to finally invite @jasminemary, @drhira, and @dave-hanny to join the contest.
